ARG! My Ameda Purely Yours just crapped out on me. It was acting funky last Thurs/Fri, but I thought it was warped flanges...so I brought a new set...and now it's dying. The suction keeps sputtering and dying out.
Of all days!! I can't leave work today because I have meetings all stinking day, so yeah... this stinks.
My supply sucks to begin with, and this isn't helping!!! I'm so glad I have one at home that works, so I'll just have to start carting it to work every day!
Stupid Monday!!!

My Ameda acts up at times. Did you try unplugging and waiting 5 seconds? Sometimes just unplugging the tubes and plugging back it gets it working. When you unplug the tubes and put your finger where they go into the pump, do you feel suction?
Also it could be your membranes or valves need to be changed out.

@mrskc: Well half the problem is I forgot one of the membranes so I had to pump one side at a time... I tried unplugging it, tried disassembling the flanges...I don't know what else to try! I even took a couple min break, tried different suction levels... nada!
@MarieJ: Sorta? My supply is so low that it's extremely hard for me to hand express anything. I don't get engorged at all anymore. I'll still try it later in the bathroom, but I don't know how much good it'll do

@Bookish: oh no! always taking everything apart and putting it back together works for me. I would call Ameda. I've heard they have excellent customer service and would probably send you a new one.

Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry!!! Having my pump croak out on me at work is one of my fears!! I can't believe it's happening to you! Booo!!!!

Oh that really sucks. I've always had a crappy supply, so I understand the anxiety about anything happening that can make it worse. Back when I was getting ~8 oz a day at work, I forget my pump parts and had to hand express (my post - http://boards.hellobee.com/topic/crap). I actually ended up getting about 10 oz, it was just more time consuming because I couldn't really multi-task. Good luck!!!
