...and I couldn't care less, but I am SO f-ing sick of adults who can't handle it!
Normally I totally roll with comments like, "What a handsome boy" or whatever, because why embarrass the commenter? We surely don't care and just graciously accept the compliment. But sometimes it comes up and people just can't let it go.
Here is a beautiful example: daughter is wearing a blue shirt with water color flowers on it, jeans, and sandals. Someone starts chatting and goes on about what a cute little guy 'he' is. I am able to carry it off until they ask her name and you would have thought I just spit in their pumpkin spice latte. Sour faces all around and then, this, "Well, she's wearing blue!"
For f-k's sake, you made an innocent mistake, I don't care, but now you're going to be pissy and complain about my daughter wearing blue?!@# People have also questioned why she has short hair (nobody's business but she was a baldy who just recently started getting enough to have to comb), like having a little girl with short hair is misleading or something.
LO wants to be (and will be) a superhero for Halloween. Lord save me from any gender stereotyping freak-shows we may run into.
