Anybody else doing NaNoWriMo this year? http://nanowrimo.org/

I'm determined to finish the book I was working on before LO was born. I haven't touched it since she came into this world. It's already 35k words, but it needs some revisions in addition to reaching my goal of 50k words. I figure that if I set a goal of writing at least 1000 words a day, I'll be pretty darn close to finishing by the end of November.

Have you started planning your book yet? Mine is YA historical fiction with some fantastical elements thrown in. Here's my blurb.

Kara is willing to do anything to save her country. At least, she thought she'd do anything, until she realizes that she must pose as a starry-eyed new convert under the sway of a man who represents the devastation of everything she holds dear.

In 1000 A.D., Christianity washes up on the stony shores of Iceland at the behest of the Norwegian king, whose envoy warns of impending war if they do not convert. After Kara endeavors to spy on the envoy and discover his plans, she begins to learn that there is more to these strangers than she thought. But Kara doesn't know if she can risk following her heart when the fate of an entire country—and the man she loves—hangs in the balance.

Brimming with magic, fierce combat and historical realism, [TITLE] breathes life into the long lost culture of the Vikings and its violent clash with Christianity.
