Have you tried either of these shoes? I know Natives are hugely popular. I'm curious why you would buy one or the other? The Old Navy ones look super cute and with their current coupon, we could get them for about $9. The Natives are about $32.

I want to try these this year for daycare water play. But I'm always afraid because of the plastic of sweating issues even with the perforations? Or it rubbing their feet and hurting? I haven't looked at them in the stores, do the bottoms have anti slip treads?

We've had both and there wasn't a big difference! I'll buy the ON version again. They're great for spray parks!

She had the ON ones as her water shoes last summer. She loved them. Would wear them all the time. Great cause she could put them on herself.

I have no experience with the ON version, but we love Natives for the summer!
@regberadaisy: LO's feet definitely sweat a bit in them, but the inside is very smooth so they never hurt from rubbing. The bottoms are pretty smooth so actually not my fave shoes for running around and climbing stuff at the park, but great for water parks, the beach, or anything where they will get dirty (mud puddles, etc) because they're so easy to clean.

We have never tried natives but LO loved the old navy version last summer and I already bought them for this summer. Perfect for parks and water play, and she found them very comfortable.

We had a pair of iplay brand ones that looked just like the natives, I think they were about $11 on Amazon. Dd really liked them and always wanted to wear them even if we weren't going to get wet, but she also tripped in them more than other shoes. And by the end of the summer the were cracking a little where you pull them on and off- not a big deal but I don't know if the natives would hold up better. I'm happy to just buy a new pair for baby sister when the time comes.

Never tried Old Navy, but Natives are our go-to shoe for summer. We just bought a pair in advance because we are going to FL next week. DS loves them! There's lots of sites that sell them at sale prices throughout the year!

My son LOVES his natives! They are his go to shoes. They are super durable and don't make his feet stink :). Worth every penny!

LO has been wearing Natives for the past 4 summers. We're big fans. Great water shoes. Easy to clean and fast to dry. My LOs think they're comfortable and hate that I make them switch to regular shoes in the fall.

We had old navy ones! Loved them and will get them again this year. Natives here are like $60.
The boys old navy ones look exactly like natives I think.

we've had natives in every size. DH hates spending $$ on clothes and he even says those shoes are a 5/5 on the awesome scale.

We had the old navy and they were great. The ones we had didn't have a strap though...they were just like thr natives. So easy for summer!
