Has anyone found a more natural deodorant that actually works? I've been trying to use Tom's, and it's horrible! My armpits are noooottttt fresh at the end of the day.
Now that I'm done BFing, I'm fine with going back to the regular stuff (I used Sure for years), but would ideally like to find an aluminum free option.

Awhile back I had a recipe for one which actually worked really well but I much prefer stick form bc I don't like it all over my fingers

i haven't ever found one that worked. i tried lavilin deodorant which my friend swore by but it made me actually smell.

@birdofafeather: I'm pretty sure Tom's is just solidified BO. So gross, but seriously, it's nasty.

Tom's works for me now but I will switch to something stronger when I'm in the PP stage/super smelly.

ETA:It was from @Lamariniere "This is the deodorant recipe, she actually lists two and I used the second one with lavender and tea tree essential oils. I keep it in a small glass jar. @littlejoy: I think so...at least for me! 
I was using no deodorant or just Tom's since college and never smelled bad (I hope) until I was PP with LO 1! I switched to a strong Secret until I weaned.

@jetsa: I was actually asking about the Arm & Hammer (if it really works well). BUT, thank you for the recipe one. I'm interested, but would need to get motivated & find time. I like anything I can just buy on Amazon!

I use this one. I tried toms, kiss my face, and Jason, and none worked at all. This does. I also did a homemade one for a while, just coconut oil and baking soda, but it's hard on the skin after a while. You apparently have to also spritz with vinegar to maintain a good ph balance, and that wasn't worth the trouble to me in addition to the trouble of making it myself.

@littlejoy: haha oops, yep it works great for me. I wear it everyday, granted its the middle of winter right now but I've had no issues. I had to get used to the fact that with all natural deodorants I will stink the next morning but thats about it.

I use the crystal stick and I like it. I tried toms for a bit and it was like a glorified lotion stick.

Schmidts (local to Portland too) is the only thing that works for me in the summer, though I get itchy after using it for too long.

I use meow meow tweet and for the most part it works really well. I find it only fails if I'm really nervous about something.

I use a Lush deo called Aromaco, paired with their Greench deodorant powder. Works like a charm and my pits are very sensitive. I'm actually allergic to the aluminum in anti-perspirant.
