Do you have a nature center near where you live?
We have a pretty nice one just a few miles away, I remember going there as a kid on a field trip and I just thought about it again and how the girls would love to go there and visit. They are such nature lovers, it's right up their alley.

Yep, and my son attends preschool there.
The library in town has a free pass that you can borrow, so you don't have to pay the admissions fee, which I think is great.
eta: the trails are free, but to visit the animal hall, you need to pay admission.

I'm not sure about where we live, but when we visited my dad last summer there was one at one of the bigger city parks. It's really impressive and so interesting for the LOs (and free)!

yes but I didn't know about it until last summer when the kids went there for a field trip - its less than a mile away and very cool!!

Yes, LO1 goes to preschool there and we hike the trails every weekend too. We are members (get discounts on programs) but admission is free regardless. We love it!
