6 month old slaps my face and pinches my neck / gouges my neck while nursing. Hurts badly! I try giving him his lovey while nursing and he just throws it. Any other ideas??

@winniebee: ugh we have been at this stage and it drives me bonkers. Lately she's started nipple pinching and I hate that the most!

@winniebee: Try a teething necklace? There are those plasticy ones that are popular right now, but I have a friend that got a cool wooden one from etsy that her baby loved. Something like this:
