Hi all, I'm starting to feel frumpy coming into my 3rd trimester and hate to spend money on clothes that I will only wear for another 3-4 months. I'm starting to look for nursing close where I won't look so drabby. Any recommendations on where to get nice nursing shirts? Thanks!

My baby was born in the fall. I wore a lot of nursing tanks and either button down shirts or long cardigans in the beginning. I would wear skinny jeans, and flats or boots.

Honestly, I would recommend buying a couple tops and then holding off until you're nursing and know what works for you. I ended up not being a fan of specifically designed nursing shirts. I wear a basic tank or camisole under every shirt I wear, and pull one up and one down.

H&M has some cute options! I also love Undercover Mama tanks with my regular shirts once weather cools off a bit.

I also like tanks with shirts over for the early days. I have a Loyal Hana shirt that I like, and a Madeline Maternity shirt I like. I also have a Soon nursing dress. But in reality- shirt dresses, button up shirts, baggy tshirts are all super easy to nurse in.

Honestly, I would hold off on stuff that is specific to nursing. If you want to get some new things but don't want to just get maternity, maybe some comfy open sweaters? Those are nice for both maternity and nursing. I am at the same point in my pregnancy right now and I just stocked up on a couple long sleeve maternity shirts and some new (non-maternity) cardigans for the fall.
The reason I suggest waiting is that I bought nursing tops at the end of my last pregnancy and ended up hating them all. It's hard to get the right size at this point, and also, nursing stuff can be very finicky. I ended up preferring just normal u-neck tops that were extra stretchy so I could pull them down as needed.

I mostly just wore nursing tank top and tops with buttons!

I did not get any nursing tops. Just tanks from target with a button up or other easy access shirt over the top.

Other than Rumina nurse/pump tanks I didn't have any nursing specific tops. I did end up getting more Henley tops and crossover cardigans.

I love the idea of a comfy open cardigan that you can wear while pregnant or nursing, especially over a nursing tank. I'm 4 months PP and really appreciate the soft flowy tees I've accumulated! Maybe some that you can throw on over leggings or skinny jeans come fall?

I bought some nursing tops from Envie de Fraises on Gilt a couple weeks ago and they are really nice.

I wear a nursing bra and regular clothes.
ETA: I got some cute looser fitting t shirts from old navy I lived in the first weeks PP. Easy to pull up to nurse and forgiving on the midsection

@Mrs. Pickle: I did the same for my October baby! I probably wore a nursing tank every single day with a cardigan or a button-front shirt over top. I also liked big thin cotton scarves that could double as a nursing cover. The ones from H&M are awesome and also probably the cheapest option at $24.99 for a 2 pack. I didn't buy a whole lot of "nursing clothes" because I found them to be even less cute than maternity clothes.
