i've done all of the popular trilogies including the smutty 50 shades. my last two books were a thousand splendid suns and kite runner...
i've been trying to get into the game of thrones, but haven't been able to~
any quick easy trilogy reads that are yet to be uncovered by the greater population?

did you read and like the hunger games? the divergent series by veronica roth is similar but still excellent on its own. the first two books are out...i actually haven't read the second one yet (i'm waiting for my turn at the library!), but i am REALLY looking forward to it!
i also loved lottery by patricia wood. it's very sweet...
and the art of racing in the rain. SO good. it will make you love your dogs even more...

i guess it depends on what you are into...i just finished 'the nazi officers wife' and it was pretty good. i read 'unbroken' last summer and it was one of the best books i have ever read. i am reading the 3rd installment of 'fifty shades...' right now.

I suppose you already read Hunger Games? Trudi Canavan's trilogy that starts with the Magicians' Guild is pretty great - much easier to get into than Game of Thrones.

I've been reading Sarah Vowell. If you like history, she does history with a snarky take on it. I just finished Unfamiliar Fishes. She's also written The Wordy Shipmate.

Are you a fan of the vampire genre? If so I highly recommend Vampire Academy series. I have also heard "A discovery of witches" is good.

@lydg: I was going to suggest Unbroken too!! The whole time I was reading it I just kept saying out loud "I can't believe this is a true story. I can't believe this is a true story".

since I just moved to 6th grade teaching language arts and religion, most of my summer reading list has been for my classes. However, I did find time to read the 50 shades of grey series. That will not be making an appearance on my summer reading list though!!!!!

@mamamoose i know it truly is one of the best books i have ever read...louis zamperini was on the tonight show last week or the week before! i couldn't believe it--he was in such good spirits and so funny. i bet it is on youtube. the book is like 700 pages (i read it on my iPad) and i could NOT stop reading it, i think i read it in like a few days!

I read every book by Charlaine Harris. She has written several series.
Sookie stackhouse novels (11 books that the series True Blood is based on)
The Aurora Teagarden series (8 books About a librarian who gets involved in solving a murder)
The lily bard "shakespeare" series (5 books about a woman who was a survivor of an attack who moves to a small town where there is a murder in her building that she snoops around and tries to solve
Harper Connelly series (4 books about a woman who can sense where bodies are and what their last few minutes were so she travels around solving murders
Obviously she is a murder mystery writer. The books were quick easy reads and very entertaining.
