    @sslm: That is AWESOME news!!

    I must have missed this post when you first wrote it, but wanted to tell you that my test at the doctor's office took FOREVER to come up positive and even then was a faint line. The nurse totally freaked me out by coming into the exam room after she first looked at my test and saying, "Are you SURE you got a positive on your HPT?"

    Why don't they get with the times?! Of course it was just a couple minutes after that that she took my blood pressure and pulse and they were a little elevated and I wanted to be like, "Um, you just told me you thought I wasn't pregnant when I'm here for a prenatal appointment. OF COURSE my blood pressure went up a little!"

    @hergreenapples: that's crazy!!! They really need to get some better tests! Imagine how much anxiety they cause, even for people who want to NOT be pregnant!

    You poor baby! You are clearly pregnant. That test must need like mega amounts of HCG just to read.

    I'm glad I remembered this post from a while ago, because the exact same thing just happened to me! Peed just before going, drank lots of water, etc.

    Thanks to everyone who responded back then, this thread keeps on giving Looking forward to my blood test results tomorrow, and testing again at home with the one I just bought!

    That's definitely a positive! I went to the medical office to take an "official" pregnancy test but this was at the end of the day and I had a lot of water by then. The nurse told me, "it's positive, but it's very light..." and I thought, does that make me less pregnant?! I was already 18DPO at the time and my test at home was almost as dark as the control line! For some reason, the tests at the doctors' just aren't nearly as sensitive as the ones we use at home.
