I just signed up for Netflix one month freel trial.
DH and I've had this old school blockbuster mail in/trade in thing, but feel that there are so many instant options that we are going to make a switch.
Which is the best? Netflix? Hulu+? AmazonVideo? AppleTV? etc?

I can't choose just one! We use both Netflix and Hulu +... they are good for different things.

@mrsjyw: Hulu is great for catching the latest episodes of shows. They will have them pretty quickly, usually!
Netflix is better with old seasons of shows. So if you want to watch every old episode of Mad Men or HIMYM starting with episode one, Netflix is a better bet usually. Plus they have movies too.

i agree with @mrbee. i use hulu plus to watch current shows (we don't have cable). it's great because i can put all my favorites in a queue like DVR and easily get to new episodes. then we watch via ipad or our roku (or on my computer).
we use netflix for movies (mostly older movies, indie flicks, and documentaries are streaming) and older tv series.

I like Netflix the best. It's only $8.99 for streaming only while Hulu+ is $8.99 for streaming, but you also have to watch commercials, which I think it stupid if you're paying for it. Plus, with hulu, you can watch so much of it online for free that I didn't feel it was worth it.
We did the two-week trial for hulu+ and it was painfully slow, it would freeze in the middle of a show then have to reload, or it would black in and out. It made it a pain to watch and wasn't really worth it.
With netflix you get shows and movies, and they update their shows more frequently now that they've gotten more networks to contract with them. It's commercial-free.
I've never used apple or amazon/

We currently have Netflix but will also have Amazon in a couple of months when our free prime benefits end (boo) and we start paying for them.

I picked other. We have the online netflix for movies and shows that are out already. But we use Hulu Plus for shows that are currently going on.

For tv shows, I like vureel.com. It's a tv show upload site, like youtube. It's free but I paid extra so I get faster downloading. I get to see tv shows that are on available online. I was able to catch up on Walking Dead episodes.

I've had netflix for the past 5+ yrs, so I'm partial and haven't tried any of the other options.
