Today there was the Apple conference about the new iPhone. I am a devoted apple fan so I watched (the live feed - pictures)
I am so excited about the new phones because my iPhone 4 is ready to be changed.
They have 2 versions, a colored one (Which is less expensive) and the new pimped up versions which comes in 3 options.
I will be getting the gold version for sure. Can't wait. Will you change yours?

No, not until I'm due for an upgrade, and I think I have at least another year for that. The colors are cute, but wouldn't be a selling point for me, not with a case. I didn't read up on any new updates to them since I wouldn't be getting one now anyway...

Nope. Never had an iPhone and don't want one. I'm a fan of Apple products, love my MacBookPro but I honestly don't get all of the iPhone hoopla. Most of my friends have them so I've played around with them.

No, I upgraded to the 5, so 1) I'm not eligible for an upgrade and 2) there's not enough that is different from the 5 that would make me get it! But I like the addition of colors!

Yep--feb 28th! Ill get the candy colored ones. No point in upgrading to gold or silver because my phone will be in a case.

Definitely. My 16g 4s is too full of stuff and I am basically out of space. I'm due for an upgrade in 3 weeks, so now I just have to decide if I want a 5c (why no black?!) or pay the extra $100 for a 5s. I want to check them out in-store before I decide, but whatever version I get will for sure be a 32g!

I've been eligible for an upgrade and I still have the 4. So yes!! As soon as they are available I will be getting one, just not sure what one lol!

@Lindsay05: This one seems to have some battery improvement and a lot of increased speed (4 to 5s). My 4 is in good condition too and I think I can sell it to gazelle.com for about $65. It will help offset the cost of the 5s.

No, I just upgraded to a 5 not long ago so I'm not ready for an upgrade yet. I'm sure by the tmie my contract is up the 6 will be out! We might be getting DH one though, he is need of a new phone!

@T.H.O.U.: Yes thats a huge selling point for me - the speed. My 4 was getting so slow and it was driving me bananas. I remember the jump from the 3 to the 4 was AMAZING. I think this jump 4-5s will be even better.

Yes. I've replaced the screen on the 4 I've had for nearly 3 years twice now, and it's currently cracked (again) just begging to be upgraded. I just put myself on the waitlist for a gold one - typically I'm not a yellow gold person, but I looooove the gold 5s! The hard part is going to be covering that gorgeous thing up with a protective case!

@Mrs. Sunglasses: When are you going to go get yours? I obviously have to work Friday and I'm scared they will be sold out by Friday night or Saturday morning.
I think my husband is going to get one too but probably not the 5s.

@PinkElephant: how did you put yourself on a waiting list? I thought there are no pre-orders for the 5S, just the 5C. I haven't been keeping up since the announcement, so was there a change in when/how to order the 5S?

No, we just got the iPhone 5 (which I love so so so much having switched from a Droid) but if I did I would absolutely get the gold!! Should've made a rose gold version!!

@T.H.O.U.: btw, if you can't miss work on Friday, 9/20, I think you can place an order online at 12:01am (right after midnight, Thursday night). The only thing is, you'll have to wait for it to be processed and shipped, which could take a while. It took a month for the 5 last year! We missed the pre-order last year, so DH waited outside our nearby Apple store. It's a popular store... He was there at 4am and fell in line with other crazies... It opened at 8am and he came back with our new phones around 10am. Not sure he can do that again this year, so we might just order online and wait.
