When you get a new job, how likely is it that you'll go out for a celebratory dinner/drink/?

Maybe! We like to celebrate big milestones so we would try to go out to eat or bring something in to celebrate.

@mediagirl: I live to celebrate ALL milestones. I took out the trash! I get ice cream!

We always go out to eat with a close group of friends! Any milestones are celebrated the same way (e.g. promotions, certifications, etc.)

I just took DH out recently for his celebratory dinner for his new job.

DH just got a new job so we are going to celebrate by staying at a fancy hotel for one night!

@ineebee: oh, nothing fancy. Publix just has the best ever grocery store cake. When we found out a friend was expecting baby #2 we bought cake in their honor. Truly, any reason will do!

Uh yeah! It doesn't take much to give either of us an excuse for a dinner out to celebrate- new job definitely qualifies.

Usually, yes. However I just got a new job last month and we didn't celebrate. Then again, my husband lost his not too long after I started so I guess we forgot. You had better bet we will be celebrating when he finds something again soon!
