my 2 week old wont let me put her down. she wants to be held ALL THE TIME. I'm in serious need of a sling that I can wear so I can at least have my hands free to do other things around the house throughout the day.
Any recommendations???

I used the moby wrap with my newborn around the house and he really liked it. It takes a few tries to get the hang of, but is more balanced than a sling and keeps them nice and close.

I would recommend a wrapsody stretch hybrid over a Moby. It'll last much longer and you could use it for back carries down the road if you want (you can't wear a Moby in your back).
My favorites when W was a newborn were ring slings or my babyhawk mei tai.

I liked the k'tan in the early days. It felt very secure and LO would fall asleep pretty much immediately.

@JerricaBenton: my issue with the k'tan is if you don't get theright size it won't work for you.

@Navy_Mommy: true. I guess I was lucky that the size I got fit fine!

I have a Moby and an Ergo, but I prefer the sling our childbirth instructor gave us - its called the Peanut Shell. C is so happy in it and I can put it on by myself.

@Navy_Mommy; we can be stunt doubles! You always have the same answer as me! Except I used my wrapsody from the beginning and have always preferred it.
And I wanted to add that the wrapsody is one I can even use with 50lb Ellie!

I loved our moby when LO was a newborn. Super snuggly and not that expensive.

I also loved the moby when my LO was a newborn, but they get hot so I don't know if I'd have loved it as much in the summer. Ring slings are supposed to be awesome for newborns!! I know a lot if ladies who use maya ring slings and love them

@Mrs. Twine: I've never owned one, but they feel awesome. If I wanted to get a stretchy wrap that's what I would get.

I have an Ergo and a Boba - the soft structured carriers. I preferred them to my sling because there was less room for human error. I was always paranoid she would fall out of the sling.

My ring sling was a lifesaver! It was the only one that tricked him into thinking he was being held. That being sad he got heavy fast. Now thank god he likes the tula more. And I just got a mei tai which might have worked a little earlier.
