I have been waking up evey night soaked in sweat (gross) postpartum . It's not hot in our room so maybe it is hormonal ?? Anyone else experience this ? I hate it!

It's hormonal, unfortunately. You just have to wait it out until your hormones level back out. It was a couple of months before mine stopped and I felt so gross the whole time. All I did was sweat. I had to toss my pillow.

Oh my god yes!!! No one ever told me about this, and I would soak through my clothes, but it was not hot in there at all. I would sometimes be sweating, but be cold too. Weirdest thing. It let up after about 3-4 weeks I think...

Oh yes. I woke up drenched every night for nearly a month. It eventually passed though!

Yep. It's normal. It's your body getting rid of extra fluid.

Totally normal and it was a huge gross sweaty surprise for me too. Where was that in my labour and delivery research?! lol! Took about a week or so to go away for me.

Yes!!! I had this in the beginning -- it went away pretty quick though. Forgot about this until I saw your post...

Yep, I hated it, but it was good to get rid of all that extra fluid. Of course night sweats coincided with night wake ups with the baby. So cold! I had a great fluffy robe that was a lifesaver.

YES! I've been sleeping in shorts and a sleep bra and STILL wakeup soaked. It's so gross, but I'm thrilled to get rid of the extra fluid.

Yes! I had awful night sweats for about 8 weeks postpartum. It was very uncomfortable but I just waited it out. I would actually sleep on top of a towel and keep an extra pair of pajamas next to the bed to change into after one of our feedings.

This makes me a little nervous, because I've been sweating a ton at night for much of pregnancy. I think it's a lot because of my body pillow, but I was hoping to be just about done with waking up wet!

It's so uncomfortable! I'm sorry! I slept on a towel until they stopped at about 6 weeks pp.

I was just working on a blog post about weird pp things I didn't know about and that was first on the list! The night sweats only lasted a few nights for me but I still got random hot flashes during the day where I literally have to remove clothing. It's crazy! I read that the night sweats help your body get rid of all of the excess fluid from pregnancy...

OMG, I thought I wa going crazy. I feel better that there is an end in sight. Hopefully I'm on the 3-4 weeks rather than 8+ weeks because I'm at 3+ weeks PP and I feel gross at night!!
