Needing some advice about LOs night time sleeping habits!

He's 6.5 months. He goes to bed at around 7.15pm, and feeds the first time at about 1am. He seems genuinely hungry and eats a lot. He doesn't fall asleep feeding, but when I lay him in the cot he goes off to sleep on his own. Same again between 3 and 4am, although I suspect he's not actually hungry here and it's just habit.

On top of this he's waking at around 11.30pm and often again somewhere else in the night. He doesn't want to be fed, he just cries and kind of twists around and throws his head about. I shh him and stroke him, and he goes back to sleep pretty quickly, but never stays down too long after one of these wake ups before being up again.

He's generally a rockstar napper (after a lot of work to move him from sling naps to cot naps!), and takes 2 naps a day, one 45mins - 1.5 hrs, and the other 2hrs to 2.75hrs. He puts himself to sleep from drowsy for both these naps, and does the same at bedtime.

I know he may still need to feed at night at this age, but didn't think he'd still be waking this much! I thought if they put themselves to sleep it was supposed to help night wakings, but this doesn't seem to be the case for LO!

Would love to hear anyone's thoughts!
