NJ Bridge scandal

I too respect some of the things he has done for our state. I also remember in the recent reelection campaign that one of the issues was how much he was into backing those who supported him and punishing those who didn't....more so than usual for politics. The woman who ran against him never had a chance. I absolutely think he knew about this incident and his response to the incident has been a disappointment to me.

@shortcake: The cursing and calling everything stupid thing is getting old, really fast.

He knew. Plausible deniability is a myth.

@spaniellove: Also, the way he disrespected and dismissed NJ teachers and public service employees in townhall meetings was so disgraceful to me, I have never been able to see him as anything other than a rude bully.

@plantains: Yes x 1 million. The way he has treated teachers on numerous occasions is despicable. As if we don't disrespect them enough already by paying them such low wages to teach our children.

Here’s a real quick read highlighting several other accusations of “political retribution” CC has faced over the last several years.

Basically, this ain’t his first time at the petty, bulling rodeo.

@pui: I think if a low level employee goes nutso then yeah that's not your fault. But if your top aide is doing something illegal because they think it's what you would want, leadership is failing.

he's also on record as having a discussion about the lane closures with new york's gov. cuomo as early as mid-december, so he's clearly lying about this whole thing being news to him.

watching him flail around and try to deny the coverup is so much worse than admitting he did it. but i am happy to watch him sink himself, especially after the way he has treated teachers and lower income people in the state.
