Did you ever go through a phase yourself, as a parent, where you just didn't want to start potty training? Maybe your LO was ready but you just didn't have the ambition at that time? We attempted to potty train LO2 a few months ago and she wasn't ready. I'll need to attempt again soon but I really don't want to!

Yes. Daycare wanted to start DS but it was within a few weeks of being due with baby 3. We just asked them to wait until we could be consistent at home.

B is 2.5 and I just have no interest. I don't think he's ready, we offer the potty occasionally and he's not really into it, but I'm glad because it just seems like too much work. I don't really mind diapers, much prefer it to having to find a bathroom with one minute's notice!

It's not that I'm not motivated, it's more that I don't know how to approach it and I'm terrified. Lol. But like @youboots I read (a detailed summary of) Oh Crap and I feel more motivated to do it in the next month.
I keep telling myself it's the CIO of potty training - will suck and be a painful 2-3 days, but be instant success (hopefully!) will be worth it. -
Yup, how I feel right now. I think DS (2.5) could def do it. He pees on command and has a pretty good attitude about PT'ing in general. It's more a matter of getting him to "listen to his body" and understand the feeling of needing to go. We trained DD very successfully before she turned 2 doing the 3 day method. I just don't have the energy right now

Yup this is me. I'm a teacher and thought I'd try while I was off for the summer but eh. Diapers are kinda easier than figuring out something new and I'm pregnant and tired soooo....
I gave it a shot for one day and gave up after a couple accidents. We'll get there someday.

At LO1's 2 year check up yesterday the doc suggested it's time to get a potty training chair in the house for him to get used to and have available when he starts showing interest. I felt pretty unimpressed with the idea. Not ready to even think about it!

We literally started today... DS is turning 3 this week and he's been ready for awhile. We didn't attempt because I was on bedrest, then new baby came in June... But it's time! Here we go!

I felt this way, mainly because, even though she was physically capable, DD (2 y 8 m) was very adamant that she did NOT want to wear undies. I didn't see any point in fighting with her about it yet. But DH was home with her for a week and said he was going to try, so I said whatever, and she has done awesome. Of course, when she comes home every day the first thing she says is "I want a diaper" and she even tried to put one on herself the other day when I said no...but for all intent and purposes she's day trained now. And I only had to play a tiny role in it, haha!

I was pregnant when LO1 showed signs of being ready to potty train. He was less than 2 at the time and would ask to use the bathroom every time he needed to poop and had a lot of success. Around 16 months I had attempted to potty train for a week and knew how much work it would be to try again... So I delayed it for a few more months.
LO2 wasn't ready at all, but summer is coming to an end and preschool is right around the corner. I dreaded it and hated when people made comments about how he is still in a diaper (he's 2.5). LO2 is so stubborn and challenging. Luckily it has worked out for us, and he has been potty trained for a few weeks now. Huge relief.

DD is 2.5 and I'm in this phase now. She would probably train easily at this point but I just can't. Once she hits 3, I'll get serious about it but I hope she just does it on her own lol!

Mine is 2.5 years old and ZERO interest in the potty. He will sit on it if I put him on there, but has yet to pee or poop on the potty. He starts a mom's morning out program next month and his teacher pushes potty training, so I have a feeling we will start working on it then. I am definitely not interested in pushing it as diapers are easy!

I read the Oh Crap Potty Training book in May and was all excited to get started. By day 2 of being bottomless at home LO was crying whenever I took him to his little potty so we are going to try again in a few months.
