that don't suck?
FIL needs a new phone. His is currently a cheesy flip phone and it keeps cutting out on him. He really does not need a data plan!
Anyone (or their parents 
) have a decent phone that doesn't require a data plan? Preferably AT&T. And easy to text on for a big guy with big fingers.

I like my phone (basic LG), but it's not good for texting (but I don't have a texting plan, so it's perfect for me).

Just filter by "Basic Phones (no data plan required" under "Filter by Style"

we are on Verizon so not sure this is helpful but MIL is on our plan (no data) and has the LG Cosmos - she loves it!

my dad has a blackberry but doesn't have a data plan on it. he likes it because the buttons are great for typing, as opposed to a lot of the touch screens (he had 2nd/3rd degree burns on his hands on a child and his fingernails melted and are CRAZY thick now so he struggles with typing) he got the phone for free with his plan so it made sense to go with a blackberry even though he didn't need anything that fancy.

My dad has some sort of flip phone--I want to say it's an LG, the cheapest phone our AT&T store offered. He only uses it to call me or mom, lol. He doesn't like to text so can't comment on that, but it's a very user friendly phone. My in-laws have a Pantech--both of them text and seems pretty user friendly. They aren't tech people, especially my FIL who thinks you use a mouse with both hands
