My machine came with a book of recipes. As long as I follow those they come out fine! I wonder why yours failed? Did you layer the ingredients in the right order?

You can swap out the honey with molasses and the wheat flour for ground up oatmeal or quick cooking oats for a different variation.

@T.H.O.U.: I honestly have no idea...I did everything as it said, layered them, made sure the yeast was still good. It came our super dense, didn't rise much and not brown enough. I am going to try again just had high hopes lol

I recommend this cookbook, it's so easy to follow! It also has tips for using the machine and tells you reasons why you might be messing up, ha.
