@LaineysMom: I was going to post this link as well. That rubbery stuff works pretty well. Even when LO's have hair, it's so soft bows and clips just slide out.
It's very easy to put a strip of the rubbery material stuff into premade bows with a little hot glue.

@LaineysMom: @yoursilverlining: You go, girls!!! I am not a DIYer:). No talent or patience here! And DH is gone away to work offshore so I'm solo parenting for 3 weeks so I'll be buying them lol

You can also buy product to keep bows in place. It's like hair gel for babies... Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of it, but I remember seeing something about it on C.Jane's blog.

@PrincessBaby: you can always buy regular bows (with clips) then just glue the cabinet liner to the inside. That will give you a bigger pool of cute bows to choose from.

@LaineysMom: @PrincessBaby: Even a non-DIYer can hot glue gun in a little strip of cabinet liner! You can do it PB!

Here's a set I ordered from Amazon that's super cute: http://www.amazon.com/Bundle-Monster-Toddler-Flowers-Barrettes/dp/B007SZL8MO/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1365135652&sr=8-2&keywords=monster+bundle+hair. There are a few that are eh, but there are at least 5 or 6 I love. They're all covered and a few are quite small so they stay in fine hair. LO wore these from when she was about 3 months old. Here's a picture of her wearing one.
ETA: Oops, didn't realize thread wasn't gold! Took off the pic

@PrincessBaby: do you have any of those mini elastic hair bands? Almost like the size o braces rubber bands. Since they are rubber they are pretty grippy so I wrapped them (one or two) around the clip (not the bow part the bottom half) of the clip. She can still pull them out but they don't fall out as easily as if there wa just the fabric.

Oh girl, I am a hair bow FANATIC! No slippy hair clippy (google it) has great bows and they stay in really well. I am able to clip up a sprout with these babies, although my LO does have a lot of hair, so that helps. They might not be great for right now for Harper, but keep them in mind for the future.
These bows, however, should work perfect!

I am obsessed with these tiny bows that snap into her hair. They are meant for babies with little hair, but I use them to pull Abby's bangs out of her eyes (yes, bangs - we've already had our first haircut!). She make some larger bows on the same snap clips and mini corker bows, both of which I own and LOVE. They work great and her items are very, very reasonable. You can get 6 bows for like $4.25. Give them a shot and look for bows on a snap clip. They really work great. Here is an example of snap clip style (that I found at Nordstroms) from MONTHS ago. She had a lot less hair then. Haha!

Girlie Glue! That's the name of the baby hair gel stuff. It's totally natural - made from agave nectar.
