Great whites are pregnant for 18 months! Can you imagine!?!
PS- Paul Walker apparently was a marine biologist before becoming an actor... that just upped his hotness factor in my mind
You rock Shark Week!

@MamaMoose: if I had had more time to swell, someone would have needed to roll me in to the juicing room on a regular basis! I could have become a small body of water!

@MsLipGloss: the picture of your swollen feet still haunts me. My brain can not compute those feet belonging to the skinny pretty lady I know!

OMG I knew I shouldn't have opened this post...I literally threw the laptop off the couch when I got to that second picture! Sharks should stay pregnant forever, that way the baby never actually comes. And they can just be gone. Forever. Especially great whites...I should just avoid the entire internet this week, I have this huge completely irrational fear of sharks after being forced on the Jaws ride as a young child! lol

DH just read about a guy that tried kissing a shark and ended up with over 200 stitches. I looked it up and it's actually an old story. @lemondrop: I guess some people take those HUG ME pictures seriously. Hehe

Speaking of sucking..Sand tiger sharks have 2 uteri, and its because the babies are canabalistic and one eats the other in the womb

@Crumbs: wow, just wow! I think sharks are fascinating, but have no interest in that kind of contact! We unintentionally snorkeled with reef sharks on our honeymoon in Fiji. I was ready to get out the second I saw those bad boys. Never been on my bucket list to get that close!
@Dapple Grey: that is freaky stuff!
@MsLipGloss: I wonder if living in the salt water might actually make the swelling better? lol, yes your poor feet haunt me too!

@Dapple Grey: Apparently there are two uteri and two sharks are born, but those two survivors ate all the OTHER baby sharks (as well as unfertilized eggs) that were in each uterus. Yikes!
