DH likes Noelle as a middle name. Do you think it would be weird to name a child Noelle if she wasn't born around Christmas? (Current edd end of February).
If our baby was due in December, I think it'd make more sense.

I like it much better if baby is NOT due around Christmas. I think it's pretty, but would be a little cheesy for a Christmas baby.

It never occured to me that there was a christmas connection until now. I like the name, its quite pretty - I know of one friend of a friend who is called Noelia. As a middle name I think that the Christmas connection might be even less.

I agree that I like it better not in reference to December. I personally love the name!

My daughter was born in January and she is a Noelle. I'm obviously biased towards this name!

@Mrs. High Heels: I was actually going to wall you about this! I love your kids names. ️ Was she early or late jan?
@runnerd: @pinkarmadillo: I'm so surprised to hear this! I like the name too, but I thought for sure we'd get side eye since it's not near Christmas!
@FannyMae: true, very few people aside from family ever use middle names.

@Anya: thanks! We're still in the planning stages (and don't even know the gender!) but this is a strong contender

@Crystal: I'm due a week before Christmas and briefly considered it but I'm afraid it would be too cheesy for a December baby! Though I know a Holly born near Christmas and don't think it's that cheesy anyway.

Agree that I like it better not in Decenber. Though I wouldn't have thought of that if you haven't made a point of it. I have a friend who named her December baby Noelle, and it never crossed my mind to make the connection.

There was a Noelle in my class last year and her birthday was in September. There was another Noel in the adjoining class and her birthday was in March

I really like the name! All of the IRL Noelle's I know are uber responsible and caring.

I really like it! It was almost my mom's name. Although she was born early January so it was Christmas related. She got another Christmas name instead. I actually just asked DH if he liked it earlier today with our favorite girl name- Claire. I think Claire Noelle is pretty. He wasn't a fan, even with the sort of nod to my mom. Boo.

I love that name! A friend of mine just had a baby in May and used Noelle as a middle name!
