My LO is 2.5 weeks old and the noisiest sleeper! She will grunt and sigh and snuffle in her sleep and since she is in our room, we don't fall asleep for like a half hour after she does. Then she starts up an hour before she wakes up. Does this ever go away and when??

My LO is 7 months old and I had totally forgot how much of a grunter she was in her sleep as a newborn until I saw this post!
So for us it did go away!

It definitely goes away when you move them into their bedroom.
My LO made monster noises but I can't tell if he doesn't do it anymore or if I don't hear it through the baby monitor.

This is why we moved LO into her room when we did
I honestly don't remember when it went away.

Oh yeah...LO was a loud sleeper! We dealt with it for 4.5 months until DH said his sleep was suffering!

DD was also pretty noisy as a NB. I don't know when it went away, but for the last month or so, she's been a lot quieter. She's 4.5 months old.

Yes! My LO is 1 month and makes all kinds of noises. I've mostly gotten used to them and can sleep through them.

My friend's baby was so loud, they couldn't keep her near them at bedtime. She ended up moving her all the way across the room and soon after, into the nursery. She said every noise woke her up and she just ended up hovering over the baby!

DS still is loud at 8 weeks. We moved him to the nursery at 2 weeks because I would look at him every time he made a sound. He cries in his sleep sometimes so I don't go in until I'm sure he's awake and not sleep-crying. He also grunts, squeaks, and chatters like a squirrel.

This is the reason why my son got himself a one way ticket to his bedroom at one month old : )
I think it goes away after a few months!

Are they louder at night too or is it just quieter so it is more noticeable then? LO is almost a month and drives us nuts with this, but I swear when he is sleeping in his swing during the day he isn't so loud.

@MusicaV: The sleep crying is so weird! There have been times where I have gotten up because I thought he was crying and I get into his nursery and he's fine.

That's the exact reason why we moved her into her room when she was 4 days old.
She's still a loud breather when she sleeps at almost 10 months old.

I'm thinking that we will have to move her to her own room soon too. We can probably squeeze in another hour of sleep if we do and any extra time counts! I still feel like the monitor will pick up her animal noises though...she is so loud!

My daughter is 6 weeks and the loudest! We are starting to transition her out of our room last night. We moved her into the living room (right outside our bedroom door) last night and will slowly move her into her room!

Our LO went into her own room after two nights because she made so much noise! I actually found that her noises made me very anxious so we all slept much better once she was in the next room.

My LO was SO NOISY while she slept. Even when she was just breathing, it would sound like singing/sighing. It is very sweet and cute in retrospect, but not so much at 3 AM when I was keen to hearing every little sound. I could never fall asleep when she was next to me.
It does stop, but I can't remember when to tell you the truth!

My DS is a very vocal sleeper. It was weird at first but I am just used to it now. I get nervous if I don't hear them.

Our little guy is two weeks old and we are dealing with the same thing. He doesn't really wake up crying in the night, but makes so many other noises. We were already talking about how long to keep him in our room for this very reason.

This is why my little guy was moved to his room at around 7 weeks old. We all sleep a lot better now that we can't hear him grunting and we aren't reacting to his every little cry or whimper, so he puts himself back to sleep now.

haha, my DD did this a lot. She is 11 weeks old now and doesn't do it anymore, so there is an end in sight (hopefully)...I think it stopped around 6 weeks?
So for us it did go away!
