Seriously, I hear a lot of non-CIO techniques but I am not sure I have heard of anyone they actually worked for, at least at age 1+.
When my son was nearing 2 he started responding well to sticker charts, but my 15 month old is not yet susceptible to rewards/bribery.
Any advice? We cosleep/sidecar and she wakes 4-5 times a night to nurse for extremely short periods of time.

We're in a similar boat, Miss A (15 months) also wakes during the night to feed and I usually have to get in to bed with her to get her back to sleep. She's SUCH an inconsistent sleeper which is kinda disheartening as she'll go through a week or so of STTN or only waking once (I might even wake up in my own bed in the morning!) and then she's back to waking at around midnight.
So in summary, I have no advice but I feel your pain!

@Kemma: Well it IS good to know I'm not alone! I honestly haven't really tried, well, anything, because I am so lazy. I am only half-conscious and I nurse her and that's it. I know I should try letting my husband take over night wakings but knowing my girl, that is just not going to fly. (I mean, it doesn't usually fly when we do it during the day so HOW would it fly at night?) But last night was a real doozy and I am finally getting to a place where I think something needs to happen.

We replaced nursing with a cup of juice originally and then slowly added more water to it until it was all water.

@mamimami: Yeah, my LO will scream like a banshee is DH goes into her at night!! She's a total boob monster and veery attached to me at the moment but I'm wondering whether I could get away with night weaning her providing we continued bed-sharing (let's work on one thing at a time!!)

@brownie: one of my friends do this but with cow's milk and it worked but her baby was still little. Good too hear it could work still at this age.

@mamimami: we didn't night wean until he was 18 months old and it worked. Stickers are just now working at almost 3.
