Do they run big in outerwear?
LO currently wears 18 month and some 2T. Will she be able to wear a 2T jacket in either brand through the winter? Our "winters" don't end till about March!

In my experience it was true to size...for 4T at least. DD wore NF all last winter and she is tall for her age. She also had a 3T Columbia fleece that was very tts

I find that they are both true to size. My son wore a Columbia 2T when he was 1 so he got 2 a good winters out of it. He was a little bit swimming in it but gives room for layering. Winters here are kind of mild though so it's okay that the jacket is not snug.

@regberadaisy: There are a lot of sites that sell Columbia stuff at a disccount. Just look at all the outdoor gear sites like sierratradingpost.com - they regularly have discount codes up to 30% your entire purchase plus free shipping.
