Interesting comment today...
I went to have my wedding rings cleaned today, and talked to the jeweler about changing the setting of my engagement ring. She said, "Don't bother, you won't wear your rings after the baby comes anyway."
Supposedly she was implying I'll be to worried about scratching the baby with my rings. Has this been true for anyone? I totally dismissed her comment! But maybe she's right?

I def worry about scratching M! Once I come home the rings come off. But when I leave the house they go on even if it's with M.

I never take mine off and I've never scratched the baby. It never even occurred to me to be worried about this.

I didn't wear mine for quite awhile, but my setting is quite high (I even scratch myself) and my fingers were too fat!

I can't wear mine because my fingers are still way too fat. I will probably have to get them re-sized to get them to fit again. That being said, if I could, I would wear them every day! M scratches herself more than I would scratch her...

I have never taken mine off and have never scratched my baby. I guess it depends on the setting of your ring.

I actually took this into consideration, among other things, when deciding on the setting of my engagement/wedding ring setting. I only took them off the first month because they were scratching the PUJ (foam) bathtub when I carry LO in and out of it. But has since figured out how to do that much more gracefully.

I haven't worn my rings in ages, but it's mainly because I had the habit of taking them off at night anyway. I hate the feeling of water under my rings, so with all the handwashings, my skin was getting chapped, so took them off.

I barely even remember to put my ring on. Plus I am constantly washing my hands now and dont want to put my ring through all that

When I babysat my nephew when he was really little, I took off my engagement ring, since the sitting is pretty high and seems like it could scratch delicate baby skin. But my wedding ring, which has tiny diamonds around it, I never worried about (though I did forget to put it on in the morning when taking care of him!)

I wear my wedding ring all the time, but I don't wear my engagement ring as much because of the setting.

Never would have occurred to me. How sharp is your ring?!? I could run mine along LO's face and it wouldn't scratch.

I was just thinking about this!! Not me personally but all of the bloggers I follow that have kids only have a wedding band, and aren't wearing their engangement rings. I thought it was weird so I looked back and they used to, so apparently they took them off after LO?
Mine are soldered together so i'm screwed! Haha

I don't wear my ering..... but it's because it doesn't fit anymore

I don't wear my engagement ring anyway (it's too small, for one...), and my wedding band is channel set so I wouldn't need to worry about scratching LO. I hate going without it so I plan to wear it after the baby comes.
