@Mrs. J: I see it in second pic!! I didn't get my positive until 14dpo. I think it'll get darker!!

@Banana330: That stinks! I haven't quite figured out how we will try consistently with a toddler! Nap time or middle of the night I guess lol.

I'm out, af started right when my app said it would. Didn't o until cd 22 and another bang on 7 day Lp. I'm really frustrated, discouraged, and sad. I don't know how long it will take for my body to get on track and my hormones to sort themselves out. I did start a bcomplex a few days ago and I guess it is making me feel slightly more energetic so that's a small positive in this.

@Petitduck: =[ sorry about AF. I've heard that fish oil can help with your LP too. Your body needs omegas to produce progesterone. I've been taking an omega supplement and I've really liked it so far. It has given me good quality CM and I feel like it has helped a little with my pms too.

@Petitduck: sorry about AF. I've been having 8 day LP since the birth of my daughter, and I stopped nursing about 4 months ago. I have an apt with my midwife in December to discuss next steps.

@Tionn3: thanks. I'd have to find a non animal source as a life veggie over here.

@dc yoga bee: damn, not what I wanted to hear. I have been making myself feel a little better by saying once I'm done breastfeeding it may start resolving, but I can't stop yet to be fair to my daughter and I'm only doing it twice a day anyway. Let me know what the midwife says though-I'm curious to see what they think.

Definitely cheering everyone on-bfps and bfns. It's hard. My hubby is actually being super supportive so that's nice. He doesn't understand a lot about it, but I'd prefer he stays more in the dark anyway. One of us down the rabbit hole is enough.

@Petitduck: I think flax seed oil is a good vegetarian omega source.

@Petitduck: Well, then I don't want to write this next part! I was at the doctor for a really bad cough, and casually mentioned my hair stared falling out. She said it can take a year AFTER breastfeeding for all of the hormones to level out. Drier skin is coming back, hair falling out, joints still can have hyper mobility etc... I think that may also be the cause of the extra short lp.

@dc yoga bee: nooo. Ugh. I can't be more upset than I already am I guess for now. Haha My hair has been falling out more in the past two months than he past year and I knew it wasn't a good thing. That sucks! I know I'm already super lucky to have my little babe though.

@Tionn3: thanks! I definitely need to make healthier eating more of a priority these days too. Adding stuff like that in can't hurt!

@Petitduck: regulating hormones from breastfeeding took ages! I feel like i'm still regulating 7 months later!

I think I might have ovulated early? I usually get a positive OPK and then O the next day. I got my first true pos OPK yesterday afternoon and my temp is already up this AM (and an OPK with FMU was still pos). How long do OPKs usually take to go negative?

  18. Banana330

    nectarine / 2317 posts

@peachykeen: AHHH I just wrote this on the December POAS boards... I had the same thing happen to me this morning (temps up) but haven't had a positive OPK. I'm waiting to see what happens with my temps tomorrow. I have had a positive opk and my temps were up the next day so I O'd the same day as the opk. Apparently as you get older the LH surge gets shorter...

    pomelo / 5132 posts

@peachykeen: this cycle, I caught a positive in the AM, and by PM, it was negative. So my surge must have happened from the PM before until AM.

    @Petitduck: so sorry about AF

@peachykeen: My opks are positive for two days.

    nectarine / 2317 posts

ugh so how bad is O-2 and O+1.. I just had an even lighter OPK so now i'm thinking I did O last night and missed the surge all together. This cycle is crazy!

  23. periwinklebee

    grapefruit / 4466 posts

@Banana330: I thought o-2 is supposed to be the best possible time? My app gives peak fertility then...

  24. periwinklebee

    grapefruit / 4466 posts

Also another book I was reading recently said o minus 2 and minus 1 is peak. So I think you timed it well!

  25. Banana330

    nectarine / 2317 posts

@periwinklebee: ya my RE said it's one of the best days.. i just annoys me that we could have gotten O if DD hadn't woken up and I knew I was going to O early! good thing I didn't tell DH.. we managed a sneaky BD this morning..

  26. peachykeen

    pear / 1648 posts

@Banana330: I think your timing sounds great, actually! I figure we'll try to get in one more BD tonight just to cover our bases.

Good news is... Fewer days to wait to POAS now! Are you joining us back on the Nov list now? If I'm right, we'll both be 13dpo on Nov 30. I think we're destined to be due date twins

  27. Banana330

    nectarine / 2317 posts

@peachykeen: yes I guess I am... Lets hope so! I'll likely POAS on Nov 29... 12 dpo sounds reasonable...

@Tionn3: can you add me to Nov 29... It looks like i might have O'd early.

  28. peachykeen

    pear / 1648 posts

@Mrs. J: @dc yoga bee: Thanks! I didn't have a true temp dip before the rise this time, so I was surprised to see it go up, but it's a clear rise if it's correct.

  29. periwinklebee

    grapefruit / 4466 posts

@Banana330: The book the impatient women's guide to getting pregnant cites some studies that if you just DTD the day of ovulation, and not earlier, the probability of a loss is higher because the egg starts to go bad almost immediately after it is released. The author takes issue with the clear blue fertility monitor saying o-1 and o are the best days to BD for this reason. I imagine if there are sperm hanging out from earlier and the egg is good enough quality to be fertilized, it happens as soon as it is released, making BD on o day unnecessary.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you this month!!!

@Banana330: My RE said most pregnancies occur form BD on O-2, and O-1, and that very little conceptions actually take place on ovulation day. I think you've got a good shot!

  33. Banana330

So my temp dipped this morning and my opk was darker today with fmu. I'm now wondering if I didn't O.... I guess we'all keep bding and waiting.

  34. peachykeen

    pear / 1648 posts

@Banana330: I'm still getting dark OPKs even after my temp rise, so I'm not 100% certain of my O date this cycle either. Thinking I better wait longer than usual to POAS so I don't obsess.
