@Banana330: I'm hoping to gain some renewed optimism by CD3. CD2 now and I'm already feeling better than yesterday. I have a hard time not thinking about worst case scenarios - i.e. something must be wrong and we'll never be able to have kids - especially right after AF arrives, even though I know it's premature and causes unnecessary worry.

@periwinklebee: I know how you feel. I always feel way worse when AF is here, but then when she leaves I get optimistic again. You're going onto month 5 now right? I've seen lots of people get pregnant by month 6. It will be ok. My obgyn friend told me that it really does take some people longer, and science just doesn't really know why yet. It is frustrating for sure, but we will all get through it.

There is a lot of conflicting information out there about CM and early pregnancy. For those with BFPs or prior pregnancies what was your CM like?
I know with my first pregnancy I had one day of thick white discharge but can't remember anything else. With my ectopic I had days of watery CM. I've had lots of creamy/white CM up until today (7dpo) and it turned really watery. Obviously I'm reading too much into this!!

@Tionn3: Thank you, I hope so. I know it hasn't been that long at all and there are many people here that try for years. I don't do very well with uncertainty, and need to keep working on being more accepting of it without letting my mind wander immediately to the worst case scenarios. Lots of for this cycle.

Just a little update, waiting to O is rough this time around for some reason! Finished my last dose of Clomid last Wednesday (11/9) and so I'm expecting to O any day this week. I feel hyper-aware of every tiny twinge or cramp or hot flash (an apparent side effect of clomid, fun!) and am ready to just get my positive OPK already so I can go in for the IUI and get this show on the road. So for once I'm feeling like I'd prefer to be in the TWW! Weird feeling for sure. We've been sure to BD at least every other day for the last 6 days. Gunna try to hit every day from here til CD 20. Wish us luck!

6 DPO over here and haven't tested! May seem normal, but last cycle I tested on both 5 and 6 DPO.

Celebrating self control and trying to focus on running and good health as I have a Thanksgiving 5k that I haven't prepared for at all up until Sunday. Yikes.

How are the rest of you distracting yourself from TTC and the apocalypse?

First appt with the RE this afternoon, wish me luck. I'm not sure what to expect at this first appt but I warned my husband that a transvaginal ultrasound was likely. The expression on his face when I mentioned that was priceless

@knittylady: Good luck with the race!

I'm CD 10 so really can't do much of anything right now except start BDing. I have my first RE appointment tomorrow and acupuncture on thurs so hopefully they are straight forward and I'll O over the weekend.

DH and I have cut out booze for the last week or so. Not that we drink a lot but often one beer with dinner etc. We have a friends birthday on sat but that will be our first drinks this cycle. Figured it might help.

@MrsD2442: You'll be in the TWW soon! And have fun with all that BDing in the meantime

@periwinklebee: I know how you feel. I felt bad getting upset after just one month of unsuccessful trying as so many have been trying for so much longer. But it still stinks.

@Banana330: RE went well appt was 1.5 hrs, they took vitals we had an initial chat with the doctor about our family and medical histories and then a transvaginal ultrasound. We both will be going for blood work a SA for my husband and an hsg for me. If my blood work comes back still at baseline bc of the pcos I can start a Clomid trial this cycle. All in all a great appt and I really liked the doc and her nurse. She talked to me like I was an adult who had some clue as to what was going on in my body.

So I had my first RE visit today and it went great. She went over my history, and came to the same conclusion I did, it's likely egg quality due to age. I'm doing some blood work and next cycle will do a sonohystogram and daily monitoring to check ovulation and we'll go from there. She's not terribly concerned yet. It felt nice to talk to someone about it and have them understand. I don't think DH is really to happy about the process (he thinks it's a bit premature) but maybe we'll get pregnant sooner and not need all this! She did say CoQ10 is good for egg health so i'm going to start that ASAP.

Acupuncture tomorrow and hopefully I'll O soon!

Squinter on wondfos today at 11dpo. I dont have any FRERs...accidentally bought rapid result instead. Do we think a digital will be a BFP yet? Period was due tomorrow.

  36. Banana330

    nectarine / 2317 posts

    @Mrs. J: I wouldn't use a digital with a squinter.. I'd get a FRER.

@Mrs. J: Woo hoo! Post a pic! Of course, you're more likely to get an accurate result tomorrow, but... I got a super super squinter and a positive digital the next day.

@Mrs. J: I got a positive digital at 12DPO when my wandfo was light (day before my period was due). My HCG was like 75 that day. (This was DS1). Show us the wandfo!
