My poor baby is still sick . He had the poops all weekend, then started throwing up a couple hours ago with a low grade fever. I hope they have his stool sample results back by tomorrow morning. βΉοΈ
As for TTC, I have been off provera since Thursday, and am still waiting for good ol AF to show her face so we can get this show back on the road.

@Kaohinani: I was hoping for the other kind of update too, but oh well. Maybe next month. (And I'm refusing to go to the December POAS board all alone, I'm going to stay put until you all get a BFP or are ready to move on with me.)
@Megpie: Congratulations!
@yellowbeach: Good luck!
@Sams Mom: I hope your kid gets well again very soon!

@yellowbeach: As a medical specialist myself who has gone through the boards process, I send you lots of luck and good vibes! Studying for boards is the worst. I hope you never have to go through that again! How long until you get your results?

@Megpie: Congratulations! You must be so excited! Our first BFP of the month... Yay!
@yellowbeach: Good luck!
@Sams Mom: Oh, I hope he begins to feel better soon! π€ Poor little guy! Being ill is the pits.
@Lazb: Thanks, I think she's a sweet pup, too. Very warm as well.
@Paranundrum: Stay right here. We like having you here!
As for me, sore throat and tired. Both oral and Tempdrop temps took a tumble today even though I "feel" warm. I'm 11 dpo. I think I may be heading towards a BFN this month. *shrugs* Kinda over it. Oh, and yes, you all are "big stinky heads " for holding a POAS board party last night without me.

@bananasareyellow: Hooefully it wonβt be like last year when they released scores on Christmas Eve. Fine if you pass, but not so fun if you donβt. All they tell you is <90 days.

@yellowbeach: Really, Christmas eve? That's harsh. I think we took our boards the last week of May and had results in early July. It felt like it took forever! I hope you get results (far) before Christmas this time! Good luck today! You're going to kill it! ...or save it? ...cause, you know, you're a doctor?

Still no period here, so still cooling my heels in TTC purgatory. My son's stool culture came back normal, even though he's been sick for 11 days now. What is the longest a virus can take to run it's course? I'm neurotic as fuck right now, and have run back to his primary Dr's nurse. This is the first time I've seen this NP at his office, and she is nice enough, but she hasn't seen Sam since he was a baby like his Dr. has (and hell maybe his Dr has so many patients that he doesn't really remember all of them, even though I think he does). But I am running back to my comfort zone that is his nurse to make sure everything is ok because my neurosis is in overdrive. Sam is 2, he weighs 36 1/2 lbs, I can't imagine that 11 days of puking and diarrhea is good for him. Like I can stand to lose a few lbs, but he's so little, he can't stand to lose a few lbs from not being able to keep anything in him long enough to absorb nutrients.
*I apologize for the slight mental break, but I am stressed to the max at home and work*

@megpie: Big Congrats!!
@yellowbeach: I'm a little late for good luck, but I hope the test went well!! You most definitely deserve some good news! (I've been lurking the boards for awhile and have been following your story - I fully realize how creepy that makes me sound! )
@Sams Mom: @Kaohinani: Ugh I hate this time of year with illnesses! DS got sent home from daycare with a low grade fever and stuffy nose. I'm obviously worried about him first and foremost, but is it bad that my second thought was the negative effects a fever would have on DH's swimmers right now if he also happens to catch this bug?....

@Kaohinani: I don't have any footage of our concert, but the piece we were performing was Mendelssohn's Symphony No.2, "Lobgesang". If you want you can take a peek, there are some videos of it on Youtube. It's a powerful piece, we had a great time with it.
In other news, it's cd 2 and I'm having an AF straight from hell. Usually I get some light spotting for 2-3 days before and kind of ease into it. This time I only got one day of quite heavy spotting and full flow with really bad cramping the next day. It was so painful I got nauseous, luckily I was able to keep it together and not pass out or throw up because of the pain at work. I took allll the painkillers and tried to move as little as possible - not ideal when there's work to be done - and went straight to bed after work.
I had some more pain meds for breakfast and am feeling better today, but I'm still so weak from yesterday.

@MamaBear87: Hi, MamaBear! Hope everything is spectacular on your end!
@Lily334: Your response made me chuckle because I HAVE HAD THE EXACT SAME THOUGHT PROCESS when picking up my DD from school due to illness! π€£ The thought process spans: (1) Oh, No, poor T is sick. My little girl! THEN, (2) Crap, she's going to infect G [DS] and having an ill 3-year-old is the worst, TO (3) Oh, I'll be OV-ing soon ... T can't get DH sick!!! NO BD-ing means I'll be out for the month. D#mn it, T will have to be quarantined!" π€£ So sad the way a TTC mother's mind works! Right, @Sams Mom? (Hey, SM, how is Sam this morning? Any better? )
@Paranundrum: I am familiar with that particular piece. It is lovely! I am so glad that the concert went on beautifully and was a success. Now, only if your AF would be so agreeable. Sounds as though you are having a truly rough start to your new cycle. I'm hoping you feel better soon. Painful AFs are the pits!
-- AFM, I'm feeling substantially better this morning. My nose is still a bit stuffy but the sore throat is gone. I had a few bouts of (TMI share coming here) diarrhea and had no appetite yesterday. Today, I'm still not hungry and my coffee tastes a bit off (I blame my post nasal dip). I am excited because my BBT is back up (atleast for today. Who knows what tomorrow will bring?!) and it isn't due to illness since I would have had elevated temps the last 2 days when I was ill. I have 4 more days until AF is due. Long luteals can be rough. π€π€£ *Afixed is my chart (purple = oral temps, FF & OvCue = Tempdrop).

@Sams Mom: Hey, in my morning post, I inquired about Sam. How is he today, hun?

@Kaohinani: he didn't have diarrhea or puke yesterday, YAY!
I had him on yogurt with probiotics, but I don't think they were cutting it so I added gummy probiotics a couple days ago and I think it's helping the gut balance.

@Sams Mom: That is fantastic news! I've been worried from afar. There is nothing worse than a sick LO!
nectarine / 2648 posts
@Sams Mom: Glad Sam had a day on the mend. Is he hard to push fluids into when he's sick? Kids are pretty resilient, but when they stop drinking and are losing more than they can take in, that's my line for going to the doc. GI bugs are the worst. Especially in kids, they recommend not taking things like immodium, etc because if you slow down the gut, then the bacterial infection is in there that much longer. Most of this stuff is viral, but he's been sick so long there's a good chance it is bacterial. Hoping today is a day on the mend like yesterday.

@Sams Mom: hope Sam is better today!
Just saying hi everyone:)
Iβm cd 2 today, but donβt plan on ttc this month. Iβm meeting with a neurosurgeon tomorrow and will have more of a plan then.
grapefruit / 4492 posts
@yellowbeach: He is stubborn about fluids sometimes, but I bought mio sport w/ electrolytes to lightly color his water and the infalyte (not as sugary as pedialyte) and put a touch of sprite in it to make it bubbly and he is all about it. They did the stool culture and it came back negative for everything they tested for. So I am hoping that we're at the end of a viral thing, today is day 12.

@LAZB: @Kaohinani: Thank you ladies! I have been so stressed and when they called with the negative test results yesterday I was still panicked because he had puked all night and had diarrhea all weekend. So I told them no offense to the NP we have seen for this but I want Dr. B's nurse to email or talk to me because I'm neurotic as fuck and need talked down.
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@LAZB: Aw, we are going to miss you so much! Absolutely understandable though. Being in constant pain is terrible (I know this firsthand.), and if you can ameliorate the pain, it will [inevitably] increase your chances of comfortably carrying a sticky BFP ... go for it!
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@Sams Mom: Neurotic can be good. Besides, it shows you care ... neurotically so. π€ͺ In all honesty, I'd react the same way (* I don't think that is making you feel any better, is it? π€£)

@Sams Mom: haha did you see my whine before I erased it then I called this morning and they're like we don't see an appointment?
