DH is home! Here's to some baby making this weekend!

My opk still isn't strong positive so I am happy about that. Hoping maybe it'll be tonight or tomorrow

I couldn't temp this morning bc DD decided 420 am was a good time to wake up and then not settle back down, so we were up for the day and I didn't temp before going into her room bc I "thought" I'd be able to go back to bed:(

Fingers crossed for BD 2-3 times this weekend!!!

everyone!! it's time to see some more BFP's

@jstalter: Just a little crampy from time to time, and tired all the time. But that could also be because I have had a couple of really long work weeks and busy weekends too. TGIF!

    @Ajsmommy: do it to it!

@mrschickpea: I have tried to cut out coffee too. It's tough! I love having my coffee every day.

Question for you ladies - If we aren't successful this month, I think I want to start charting. When is the best day to start? CD1? Where do you get the thermometer to use?

  12. JoJoGirl

    cantaloupe / 6206 posts

@Shizaz: I got mine at CVS. Just make sure it's a basel body temp one (goes to 00.00). And check fertilityfriend.com - awesome tutorials on charting! Def start CD1!

  13. marley

    kiwi / 706 posts

@QBbride: @JoJoGirl: my DD was conceived on O-4 too! I wasn't charting but that's what the doctor said based on dating u/s and LMP.

  14. LCTBQE

    nectarine / 2461 posts

My temp plunged this morning (98.7 to 98.0), the FRER I took is noticeably lighter than yesterday's good test, symptoms are gone. I went to the doctor to get betas and progesterone tested an hour ago, will hear back on Monday. I guess I'm not out of the game just yet, but my gut is saying this is not sticking. Mostly I wanted this morning's numbers for posterity to see if I do In fact need progesterone support for next time. Sorry to drag you along on the not-fun roller coaster. WTF.

  15. Umbreon

    clementine / 854 posts

@JoJoGirl: Thank you. I will look into that for sure. I didn't want to chart because I thought it would stress me out, but after three months of trying, I think I will want to start.

I also realized today that if I O tomorrow (I don't know if I will or not) I will only be 9 dpo on our anniversary. That seems pretty early for a BFP. It's our cotton anniversary so it would have been PERFECT because I plan to give him a batman onesie I bought to announce it to him. It fits with the cotton theme. It might just have to be a late gift, if things happen this cycle.

@Shizaz: I got both my bfp's at 9dpo. They were super faint but there!

@LCTBQE: I hope you get some positive news. Sorry this is such a roller coaster for you

@AprilFool: my dh will be out of town for my poas date too. Are you going to wait for him? I will probably test when he's gone so I can have something cute to tell him with when he gets home. ( If it happens.)

I got my crosshairs this morning. Woo 3dpo!

@LCTBQE: So sorry to hear about this. I can only say to keep thinking positive thoughts but I know it's easier said than done. Hugs. and I look forward to hearing better news on Monday.

@LCTBQE: I'm so sorry to hear that. Like the others have said, try to think positively and keep us updated. I hope things will turn around for you.

    @JoJoGirl: @MrsB2012: That's encouraging! Thank you!

@LCTBQE: I've been poking my head in here a bit -- crossing my fingers for you. If it doesn't turn out well (or if it does!) I'm here to chat -- been there and know the crappy feelings.

We're NTNP for the time being, so I'm not going to put my name up anywhere, but I'm thinking good luck thoughts for everyone here!

@LCTBQE: sorry you're going through this roller coaster. Must be so stressful

So I think I may have gotten prematurely excited about ovulating... My temps have been down the past couple days. Here's a picture of my chart if anyone has any insight. I'm still new to this, but to get crosshairs your temps after the initial spike have to be higher than all the temps prior to the spike, right?

  25. Kitkat

    apricot / 325 posts

Aaaand last cycle's wonky-ness, just for reference

  26. marley

    kiwi / 706 posts

@Kitkat: It looks like you ovulated on CD25 and implanted on CD34. But I'm also new at this.

  27. Kitkat

    apricot / 325 posts

@marley: ahh that just got me really excited haha. Although still not sure about the post-O temps not really being higher than pre-O, plus the lack of crosshairs. I have had slightly sore breasts been crampy lately, though. I guess I can kiss being productive at work today goodbye! I'll be symptom spotting and Googling the rest of the day

  28. marley

    kiwi / 706 posts

@Kitkat: so frustrating, isn't it? do you use OPKs or other predictors?

  29. Kitkat

    apricot / 325 posts

@marley: no, just temping and CM. I think using OPKs might make me crazy, but I'll probably start if I don't get pregnant in the next few cycles

  30. AprilFool

    nectarine / 2591 posts

    @LCTBQE: Thinking of you!

@MrsB2012: I haven't decided! I like the idea of doing something cute though. I guess I will see how impatient I am feeling.

  31. LCTBQE

    nectarine / 2461 posts

thank you for all the nice thoughts, ladies--it helped me get through work today I think my temps this weekend will probably indicate what's going to happen. I'm glad I got the betas done, just hoping it resolves itself one way or another and doesn't drag out into limbo land.

    @Ajsmommy: don't worry about a mostly-positive so glad he's back and you'll be busy!

@Shizaz: @Kitkat: I was just talking about this with @kathrynelizabeth828 on another post she started--have yall read Taking Charge of Your Fertility? it'll make you an expert charter when I told a few friends I was planning to start trying, everyone told me this is the only book to bother with. also, your period temps are nice to have, but they don't actually factor into the ovulation prediction, so don't feel like if you didn't start on CD1 that you have to wait until next time.

I'll bet the cotton onesie will be a welcome gift even if it's late

  32. LCTBQE

    nectarine / 2461 posts

@MrsDragon: thanks just wrote you a 5,000 word essay on another board you started. xx

  33. Kitkat

    apricot / 325 posts

@LCTBQE: I have it, but I've only skimmed it. I'll have to sit down with it again this weekend

  34. Nutella

    persimmon / 1045 posts

@Kitkat: def check out that book @LCTBQE recommended. It's this comprehensive manual of a thing but really covers the nitty gritty you'll maybe need a cycle or two to get the hang of it, but will be a pro after that! X

@LCTBQE: hey dearie. I took a much needed break from the internets just while I'm coming to terms with the arrival of AF 😡 But then saw your update. When do you hear results, Monday? I stopped temping after my last bfp but I think you're right, the temps might give you a heads up as to whether it's a false alarm. Crossing fingers and toes. My OB did also say not to rely on symptoms as a gauge of anything as they are so varied and personal...so there's that too. Hugs lady

@Shizaz: cotton onesie idea is too cute!!

  36. Umbreon

    clementine / 854 posts

@LCTBQE: I have not read it, but I just looked and my library has a few copies. If I don't get a BFP this cycle, I will check it out.
@Nutella: It really would be so perfect, even if I have to give it to him a little late!

I think I'm out this month

I never got dry down there after I O'd beginning of last week, so I took that as a sign we'd maybe conceived.
Then I started spotting last night which I tend to do every cycle. It looked pinkish brown, so I was excited when I went to bed.
However when I woke up this morning I was still spotting, but it had turned bright red, so I suspect it's my period come early. It's also heavy enough to use a light tampon.

If I'm still like this tomorrow I conceed defeat.

  38. LCTBQE

    nectarine / 2461 posts

@Nutella: tried to reply to you yesterday and the website ate my answer. I'm sorry the period showed up what the hell is going on with the super ovulation? I hope you have a half a bottle of wine and a couple of brownies and a good movie tonight

I'm a slave to temping and FRER testing, I think it was smart of you to just quit. The OB will call me Monday afternoon with results; I'm sure you're familiar with the hurry-up-hurry-up feeling mixed with dread. I think everyone has said this before, but I wish I could live at their office. Thanks for telling me that about the symptoms. I still have none and will be 5w tomorrow and it freaks me out, but a little less so after your reminder

How long are your cycles these days? When's O time coming up again?

  39. LCTBQE

    nectarine / 2461 posts

@Mrs. D: shoot, I'm sorry, lady keep us posted.
