Nursery chair. If I took DD into the living room in the middle of the night she would think its time to play.

I did like having a comfortable chair in the nursery for MOTN feedings and to have a dark/quiet place to go once my LOs were older (4m+) and got easily distracted while nursing.

Other than that, I nursed plenty of other places in our various houses

Nursery chair. Hands down I prefer nursing in his room than the living room day or night. Sometimes baby will look at me while eating and I feel bad if I missed his initial gaze because I was too busy watching TV or looking at my phone. Going from nursing chair to his crib is so quick and easy in the MOTN.

I nursed everywhere, but I am SO happy we went with a comfy rocker/glider in the nursery. I spent so much time in that chair and it was well worth it.

Chair for sure. We still use it twice a day (nap & bedtime) every day for reading & songs before bed.

I vote you need someplace comfortable to sit in the nursery. We didn't have room for the glider in there because we had the old guest bed in there so I sat on that for nursing at night. I wish the glider could have fit- and like you I'm in a condo where living room and nursery are like five steps away. At night especially I wanted to keep her in the dark with the white noise on so she got the message that it's still night time not play time.

I liked the sofa/everywhere for day nursing and nursery glider/bed for night nursing.

I'm the odd duck out, but I've had two kids, and I think our nursery chair has been used, maybe 10 times. I'm pregnant with our third and was going to sell it as it's just a space taker for us.
If I was to do it again, I'd probably buy a cozy lazy boy or something that could be used elsewhere after.

Even if you don't use it for BF-ing (which you probably will), you'll use it for nighttime rocking/snuggles, and for reading to your LO before bed.

Nursery chair. What if you have guests you don't want to nurse in front of? Or you're trying to get the baby to sleep and your partner is watching tv? We also used ours for sleeping, cuddling after naps, and now stories. We still use our toddler's nursery chair so much that we just bought a second one for the new baby's room instead of moving it.

I personally could have used without one; I mostly nursed in the living room too or in our bed.

BUT DH had always solo parented her for like 1.5 days a week and when she was in infant who napped a lot, the glider was a saving grace for DH to have a comfy place to sit and put on a movie on the ipad w/ headphones while holding DD for 1+ hour sometime!

And since we'll re-use it for #2, we thought it was a good idea to have one (it was gifted to us anyway).

At least an arm chair, if not a glider, in the nursery if you plan on breastfeeding. Middle of the night nursing sessions are way easier if you can just grab baby, nurse quickly in the chair, and then put them back in the crib.

We started out with nothing, quickly realized I needed a chair so we bought an armchair because DH didn't think we could fit a glider in there. I honestly wish I had tried to find a small glider but the arm chair worked out.

As long as you have somewhere to sit, that's all you need. Granted, for the first 8 months of DS1's life, we lived in a small 1 br condo. I nursed on the coach or in my bed. Luckily our headboard was angled slightly and that made it perfect for nursing. You could go either way here and be totally fine.

Nursery chair for sure! I nursed in the living room in front of the TV a lot in the early days when DS was eating frequently but at night we are always in the glider in this nursery. DH sits there to read him bed time stories and I sit there while he plays in his room some times. You will definitely use it.

We live in a small house and our nursery is about three feet from the living room. I usually nurse her in the rocker in her room, or sometimes on the chair or couch in the living room. Honestly, it's nice to have the choice of mixing it up. You spend a LOT of time sitting around nursing in those early weeks!

On a side note, I liked having a quiet place to escape if DH is watching TV or if we have visitors and she is fussing or needs to nurse. Sometimes it's just not fun to wave your boob around other people with a fussy baby.
