Hi All - i'm a first time mom due at the end of July - i'm super excited but also a little freaked out! Just wondering if people have begun to start their nurseries yet. I have ideas in my head but haven't done anything concrete. We're not finding out the baby's gender so it's a little difficult to plan!

Yay for July babies! My LO was born July 22nd last year, on her due date. We did her nursery based on my big love of pigs and her name, Rose. Pigs and flowers. If it were a boy I was planning on doing pigs anyway, but more colorful instead of pink.
We're going team green for the next one and my plan is to do an ugly doll theme.

awww....i love that idea - pigs are so stinkin cute! I was thinking of doing a wall mural with jungle animals but dont things to get too matchy matchy

we did all greens tans and browns. (gender neutral so we can use the bedding and etc. for the next baby even though we knew we were having a girl) we added in a bird/bird house theme.

Our baby is due in early June and we have not started on the nursery yet. This weekend we plan to clean out the room that will be the nursery, so that's a start! The theme will be a sort of fairytale library - lots of books, and the ceiling will be painted with clouds and some stars (my mom is an artist who will paint the ceiling). There will be a very art deco stenciled moon and stars border, and some little fairies hanging from the ceiling by in invisible wire. LO is a girl, and we did not want super pink, frilly or princessy themes.

Congrats! I loved looking at sites to gather ideas, some of my favorites are pinterest, ohdeedoh, chiccheapnursery, spearmint baby, and ontobaby.
