LO is getting baptized in a few weeks. It will be early spring in New England, so the weather will be somewhere between 35 and 75 degrees. 
I may treat myself to a new dress or top since nothing fits right now- I'll be 4 months post partum, and nursing. I still have a tummy and my hips and thighs are bigger than they used to be.
What styles do you recommend for this stage? Links especially appreciated. I mostly wear yoga pants every day but I'd like to look just a little nicer.

I'm 5 months out and am enjoying leggings with faux wrap tunics. So a wrap dress or tunic and leggings would be nice. And if it is a "faux wrap" you don't have to worry about tying it properly and can breastfeed easily if need be. I find that style quite flattering. I also got some dark wash pull on jeans in a bigger size than my old jeans (finally gave in) which made me feel so much more put together than my yoga pants.

I don't love how clingy the bottoms of these wrap dresses seem. I have a tunic/dress that has a wrap style top, but the bottom is loose and flowy.

@Portboston: so, I was looking on asos earlier- the problem is I don't want to look pregnant, and I feel like most "nursing" dresses are "maternity/ nursing". I'd like to specifically look not pregnant at this point. Some of those might still work... That first one is cute but a little too formal plus I think shipping to the U.S. Would be outrageous.
@Mrs. Goose: I feel like wrap dresses are often recommended but so many are like you said- clingy in just the spots I don't want to cling to. It's just a matter of trying on I guess but it's not like any of us moms have loads of time for that!

This won't help your immediate problem, but I've gotten some great nursing tops from the sale site Gilt. They usually take a few weeks to ship, but if you're looking for something more long term you should check out the nursing stuff on there. Otherwise, I would think a black wrap dress would be less likely to show tummy.

@LulaBee: tops are usually less of a problem since I can pull them up if they are loose, but dresses that's kind of an issue. And I don't really like any of my skirt options now either. I guess the answer is I don't like my clothes or the current shape of my body and want a miracle outfit to solve that.

@madger: oh that one is cute! I haven't found any shirt dresses that are flattering, probably because I'm looking at Old Navy or Target most of the time. I'd rather keep it under $100, and not be dry clean only, but that one is an option. Maybe I can do solo shopping this weekend...

I think I will try a Seraphina dress (Amazon free shipping and returns) and hope it doesn't make me look pregnant...I love the print on this one, but I think a solid jewel tone might be more versatile. I also have a wedding coming up.

I own this dress in a 3/4 sleeve from last season for a friend's wedding (mine is a bold floral print and the wedding was in Hawaii). While I looked fine in it when I wasn't pregnant, it still fits me right now at 8 months pregnant because of the way the skirt and bodice is cut. Its a nice stretchy but thick jersey knit material that washes really well, the crossover would make nursing really easy, and it covers the pooch and hips. They currently have a short sleeve, sleeveless, and maxi option. I would probably go for the short sleeve or sleeveless dress, paired with a cardigan and tights or leggings. I wore this exact outfit for Easter Sunday!

@Foodnerd81: Spanx will help smooth out lumps and bumps. I wore it when I had to dress up for something at work and it really helped disguise my PP tummy (I was six months PP).

@Foodnerd81: Ohh, haha. Well first I'd pick a contrasting color (like the green). I tend to like pink, but practically anything looks good with that blue. I'd probably do a statement necklace and cardi in the color, and some silver or gold shoes.

@Foodnerd81: I think something with a waist at the actual waist (like the pic you posted) and a belt is going to work the best - that or something snugger fitting with a pair of Spanx. I found that anything with ruching or an empire waist and a little bit looser fit just "catches" on any bit of tummy, emphasizing it rather than hiding it.
