I bought a few nursing tanks from target but they are huge in the belly and really long, yet a little tight in the boobs (not uncomfortably so, but maybe not so appropriate for out of the house!) I have an hour glass figure and am petite - are there any tanks or tees out there that might fit my frame? I was looking at the ones at gap.com but the reviews aren't great. Just wondering if anyone found any good brands that worked for a small frame. I'd love to be able to wear one outside with a cardigan over it!

I lived in the tami tanks by old navy when nursing. They stretch to just pull down but hold their shape ! They are awesome !!!!

Great question. I had one from ON but it was horrible. Completely lost its shape in the wash

The target ones really do lose their shape quickly. I have a bravado one that's great but is sized on top (like 36d or whatever). I second the tami tank suggestion- you need a nursing bra under but they hold their shape really well and are easy to pull down, but not too low cut. They can just look a little blah on their own.

@Foodnerd81: I think thats my issue - my boobs are ginormous right now and I'm small elsewhere, so I'm not a size. I guess nursing bra plus tank is the only way to go.

@Pirouette: the bravado ones might be good then. They won't be super tight in the belly but way more fitted than target. I'm not petite but my stomach is back to normal size and they are comfortably fitted (size 36d tank, wear a med or large usually).

i like the ribbed jersey knit maternity tanks from old navy--i still wear them postpartum. some of the colors were from a better fabric than others. they are a *tad* long in the straps, but i can deal with that.

@chopsuey: i wonder if the non maternity style would be as comfortable? I have one in maternity size and it was too big until the final weeks of pregnancy, so I don't think it will fit now.

@edelweiss: thats my one issue with ON- I feel like different colors of the same shirt always fit differently!

@Pirouette: I'm having this same issue with the target tanks. I actually like the bravado basics at target and I have one regular bravado tank.

@Pirouette: the target brand are fitted better in the stomach and are great to wear under sweaters. The real bravado ones are a bit looser and you could wear them with an open cardigan.

@Pirouette: seconding the target bravado basics. I like them better than the expensive "real" bravado ones. I've used and abused mine for.. 13 months now and they fit great.

@Pirouette: I'm not quite 5'4" and ~ 34C/D with these pp boobs and LOVE the Bravado (Target) nursing tanks. I wear them almost everyday since baby. Size small.

@Pirouette: the large fits just right in the chest. Supportive but not too tight. Their size guide was true to size for me. Can you see that online?

I find the Motherhood maternity tanks are the best for my small frame!

I have found the gap maternity tanks to be the best! they are long--I can wear them with leggings, stretchy, and good quality.
so comfy and great support!
