I apologize if this has been posted before, and I can't take credit for it, but using a rubber nipple hands down beats a dropper for giving meds.

Smart lady!
Have you seen those medicine dropper pacifiers too? Similar idea...but this saves a bunch of money!

Yes!!! Though I had a pharmacist tell me that she thought the medicine pacis are mean. Probably never gave medicine to a screaming baby!

@Mrs.Someone: how interesting! I actually think this is "nicer" than the dropper because baby can decide how quickly to gulp it down and it's a much more familiar vessel.

@Torchwood: I hear ya. Whenever I type crockpot, it automatically corrects to crackpipe...I'm like "no...."

I do this as a peds nurse only problem is if they decide they don't want it it's hard to quickly get the medicine out before it starts spilling!

@junebugsmama: good point! This works well with gripe water and gas drops

Great idea!! I'd seen the pacifier one before, but might as well use this. Now we just need to get DD to take a bottle again. We lapsed for a month or so & so her couple of successful bottle feedings are a distant memory.

I used to do this with a little bit of breastmilk to give D his Zantac.

I tried this with DD2 and she still gagged and spit it out at me
