B was evaluated today and was recommended to start weekly OT sessions. Has anyone else's LO done OT? Was it helpful?

My nephew does OT, he started when he was 2 though! It has helped him, although he still has feeding/eating issues that they are still working o.
Good luck!!

@rahlyrah: for what? I wonder if my late crawler needs any OT...she army crawls but it seems like it hurts her.

I took my son for an OT consult at 8.5 months because he wasn't crawling yet and hated being on his tummy. He crawled the next week so we didn't go for any further consultation.
I'm also a pediatric OT but I work primarily with school-aged kids.

@autumnlove: He scored low for his fine motor skills (still mostly does a rake grasp) and doesn't feed himself or put toys in his mouth. She thinks he is hypo sensitive and lacks awareness of his mouth. He also kind of curls his fingers a bit when he crawls. Honestly, it was a lot of information at once so I couldn't really absorb it all. She seemed optimistic and said that she didn't think it would be a long term thing, but that he is definitely delayed.
