I've always lived 10 minutes from a beach. I love the mountains, but the ocean is my home.

love both but oceans for sure!

Ocean. I live on the praries and I find the mountains to be strangely claustrophobic. I love being able to see the horizon at the ocean.

Ocean. My husband loves the mountains (though he likes the ocean too). We've been lucky and on a lot of our trips been able to split our time between the two.

Ocean. In NC, the mountains are about 6 hours from the beach. We'd always go on vacations to the mountains, but I prefer the ocean. The smell of the ocean is something I love about home!

Ocean. The sounds are so soothing! I love the mountains but driving in them when it's snowing can be treacherous!!

That is a tough one, I love both! I would split the difference and live in the San Juan Islands off the coast of Washington- they have both!

Oceans! I'm also blessed to live in Cali, and actually grew up living in a mountain town while my parents had a business across the street from the ocean, best of both worlds!

Ocean! There is nothing like going for a swim amongst the waves on a late summer afternoon... or sitting watching the beach, coffee to hand on a lovely, sunny morning.

I love both, but I think I have a slight more preference towards the ocean bc of scuba diving and I love swimming!

Definitely the ocean. I've always lived very near the ocean and can't imagine myself living too far away from it. My state has some pretty majestic mountains as well, but the ocean feels like home to me.

I love both, but Ocean is probably my favorite. In Oregon we're so lucky, we have the beach, mountains, and desert all in a very close proximity.

Neither! I'm a Kansas plains kinda girl. I'll take my wheat fields and prairie sunsets any day. I do enjoy visiting both the mountains and the ocean though although both have their cons. I get pretty severe altitude sickness in the mountains and the deep, deep, deep, dark parts of the ocean scare the crap out of me.
