October 2013 POAS!

    @littlek: That temp seems high to me, at least based off my temps. That's usually my post-O range (98+).

    @MrsCDH: I would give it another day or two but if the temp stays high, I think you're good to go in the TWW! A sustained rise is all that matters, not the actual temperature range since everyone varies. Also, crosshairs are lines that FF gives when FF determines you've Oed Usually comes after 3 days of a sustained temp rise. Sometimes they're dashed lines, other times solid lines!

    I thought I was doing okay post-chemical but here I am at CD23 and no +OPK/temp rise/etc. yet. We've BD every day since CD18 since I usually O around CD20-21. I don't know whether to take a night off now or what. I'm fearful that if we take a night off, I'll get a +OPK.

    Ok ladies. I tested way way too early.
    I was supposed to test Friday or even Sunday to be late. I think I'm around 10dpo but I don't chart.
    So here it is. This is my first cycle trying and I think this is good news but I can't be sure. What do we think?

    @LiliBillie: I suck at seeing lines. Have you tried digital?

    @LiliBillie: Once I tilted my laptop monitor, I definitely see a line!

    @LindsayInNY: Maybe high because our AC is not working?? Hopefully it will go down the next few days. My body is out of whack after our trip to Germany. I'm guessing it will be lower tomorrow.

    @LiliBillie: Looks like a line to me! I would still take a digital just to be sure (and it's neat to see the word "pregnant")

  13. LiliBillie

    I want to be happy but I also don't know how these things work. Can it be faint positive and then negative? When should I take another test? DH thinks I lost it.

  14. Sophia

    apricot / 432 posts

    @LiliBillie: I would try again in the morning with one that says 'pregnant' or 'not pregnant'! Good luck!

  15. bushelandapeck

    @LiliBillie: I suppose it's possible to have a false + but I haven't had that experience. I've tested early (9DPO) and had a similar faint line, then tested again the next day just to be sure. If you wanted to use another test I would wait until either tomorrow morning (first morning urine) or hold it for several hours today and take it then. I think your urine needs to be pretty concentrated when you test early. I tested at 12DPO in the afternoon without holding it, and got a + almost immediately. For what it's worth, I don't think you are crazy at all

  16. LindsayInNY

    bananas / 9229 posts

    @littlek: Vacation could have thrown it off. I've noticed higher temps (especially pre-O) during the summer when I'm not sleeping in AC so that definitely could've done it. You might also have lower post-O temps. Average isn't necessarily an indication of anything!

    @Littlebit: Temp drop today but still above the coverline at 17DPO. All UPTs have been negative. Just waiting for AF to show her ugly face I'll let you know when I'm officially a rollover!

    @LiliBillie: Congrats lady!

    @MrsCDH: My temp spike has gotten shorter and shorter as the months go by, my first month off of BC it went up a full degree, but more recently it's like 5/10's or 4/10's, like other people are saying, the sustained part is the most important!

    @LindsayInNY: FX you get that positive OPK soon! I guess I would keep going every other night with BD if you can, every night seems exhausting but I understand not wanting to miss it!

    @LiliBillie: Eeek, so exciting! Looks like a BFP to me!

    @littlek: I've gotten a day or two of high temps during or right at the end of AF, 98.0-98.2. It always drops back down to the "normal" range. Also, temping is not a perfect science, a lot of factors could throw off one temp. I wouldn't worry about it, it's all about the overall pattern.

    BIG hugs and congrats to @LiliBillie and @peacockblue! Such exciting news!

    As for me...I am 9DPO and I already think I am out for this month. I have zero symptoms and my temps are doing the CRAZIEST things! Granted I haven't been sleeping well lately (waking up a couple times a night and not getting a 3 full hours before temping) but I have never had anything like the crazy up and down of my temps this month!

    PS - it's been really hard to symptom spot this month due to the progeserone suppositories I am taking. Which I suppose is a good thing!

    @LiliBillie: Congratulations!

    @whatsarahsaid: I think no symptoms is actually a good sign. I had none whatsoever. I don't think you're out just yet!

    @littlek: I've had higher temps around AF. Sometimes I take a few day break from temping when she's in town too. I bet your temps will go down in a day or two, but really, it's the full pattern of the entire cycle that matters, a few high temps at the beginning won't throw anything off.

    @whatsarahsaid: I'm 9DPO too, and not really had any out of the ordinary symptoms to spot (as hard as I've been trying!). I'm hoping it's a good thing, because last cycle I had a whole host of symptoms and BFN. Although I'm on Clomid, and any symptoms can also be attributed to that, so who knows.

    @MrsMcD: Any update?

    @Littlebit: @Sprite: Thanks for checking in, girls. I have no good news to report except for the fact that AF was kind enough to make an early appearance today so as to save me the wasted expense of POAS. TTC cycle 5, here I come!

    @whatsarahsaid are your progesterone supps causing any symptoms? i'm having a hard time distinguishing between side effects from the progesterone or true symptom

    @Sprite: Thanks friend. Well she technically wasn't early. Maybe right on time. Or even actually a tad late. I was slightly delusional yesterday and really hopeful that I might actually be pregnant. Oh TTC mind games, why must you play tricks on me?

    I wish I could talk to all my body's babymaking players. I'd be like "hey ovaries... lets push out some eggs today. hey eggs... go find your guy friend, please."

  39. Sprite

    kiwi / 693 posts

    @MrsMcD: Nope, that little B was still early, she was supposed to go away for at least 9 months

    And uh, I totally give my ovaries pep talks in my head. "Come on guys, stop being so lazy and do your damn job!" I also curse at them when they cause me pain.

    @MrsMcD: sorry about AF! I too am delusional - 100% sure I'm out and yet here I am reading posts about implantation bleeding . . . here's to November!
