Without getting into details, I found out that a parent was offended/not happy that I called their toddler LO "bossy". I have noticed that I do tend to say that to a kid in an instance like, the parent is feeding him/her, had to stop for whatever reason for a quick moment, and starts screaming. So, usually when they're being impatient.

I realize that a toddler can not understand the meaning of being patient and wants everything NOW, so when I make the remark, I'm not being condescending to the kid or the parent, just lightening up the mood and distracting the kid by talking to them.

Would you be offended if someone said that to your LO? In a light, sarcastic way, not giving them shit or anything.
