As many of you know, my DH works offshore on an oil rig. He is safe, this explosion was not on his rig, but it is still a horrific tragedy and I am praying for these families of these men and that they find the missing safe:(

so glad your DH is safe, I thought of you when I saw this on the news - I held my breath and said a prayer, hoping they find them safe. So scary.

Oh how scary. My uncle used to work out on oil rigs, now I think he stays on the mainland. He used to go to Africa a lot and it could get pretty tense over there around the oil rigs. Glad your husband is safe!

I'm so glad your DH is safe and that you've been able to talk to him! It is a very sad tragedy and many prayers go out to those affected.

@PrincessBaby: I saw that and immediately thought of you and your DH. So grateful he is safe. My DH was a tool pusher for 10a years and just quit right before our wedding after he got injured pretty badly. I think it was a big wake-up call. If I remember correctly your DH drives the barges? I hope that means he's a little out pf the everyday dangers, but accidents like my DH's are very rare and only happened because he had a guy not paying attention. *sigh.

It's such a dangerous line of work. I'm so glad your honey is ok. I have a friend who used to work the rigs. He said it was very stressful!
