OMG.... Accidentally naming after book characters!

So DS1's name is Kishan and DS2's name is Dhiren. Both are Indian names, not super popular, and were found using Indian baby name websites in 2011 and earlier this year. Today I created a blog for them but couldn't remember the address name, but I wanted to show DH so he googled "dhiren Kishan blog" which sent us on a google rabbit hole where we discovered that we accidentally named them after characters in these books who are freaking "300 year old princes who were cursed to become tigers"

And they're casting for the movie. Aaaaaaaaaaaack!!! I feel like I just named my kids Jacob and Edward or Peeta and Katnis. And there's nothing I can do. Googling their names separately when we were considering them didn't bring this up at all... It only comes up to the front when they're together. Sigh.

I think those are neat names!! Yeah after a while people are gonna assume but it'll be a neat story to tell them you did that by accident! Tiger brothers is kinda cool.

Cool names and maybe a cool movie??

I used to dream about having a Henry and a Claire. Aka the lovers in Time Travelers Wife. Whoops. Luckily DH didn't like Henry.

@Danizaur: @cmomma17: not cool! Dhiren is the older brother in the book though. This is freaking me out way more than it should.

@beaker: a google search for my LO's first and middle name bring up a weird rockstar guy who is basically a punk who likes to drop f bombs and puke on stage .... So there's that

Lol, we are known as the "train family" because all three of our names are Thomas the Train characters. My husband and I had no idea that our LO's name was also a train until after he was born and our five year old neighbor thought it was SO cool we were all trains!

@littlecasita1122: that totally makes me feel better, haha. If you have another LO you should pick another train name!

@cmomma17: haha yikes! Actually the top Google result for Dhiren (by itself) is this British terrorist, but he was only convicted for plotting, not killing, so I figured eh whatever? DH always just said our Dhiren will be awesome and get to the top instead

My son shares his name (minus a slightly different spelling of the last name) with a member of the band KISS. Which we knew, we just figured we got to be the ones to name our child, not society!. It'll be okay!

yeah, I'd never really thought to name my baby girl Caroline-- but I named her that after watching Vampire Diaries for a few years... I didn't necessarily name her "after" the character but it's when I really heard the name enough to like it-- never mind that Caroline happens to be my favorite...

Oh Ive seen those books before but never read them, maybe now I will I dont think its a big deal if they are named well after the fact and they might think its cool when they are older. I share a name with a famous Disney character which came out after I was already a child so I was always asked if I was named for that character when clearly I was born first. It was annoying but it only last a short amount of time before people move on.

Remember that if they are only casting now, the movie is still a couple of years out and your boys will already be older than the movie. (now I'm interested in seeing the movie )
