I'm resolving to do some serious prep this weekend for next week! Stop the madness!

I voted 6. We're just coming down from the chaos of the holidays and international travel to visit family. We got back last Saturday and are slowly readjusting to our every day life here, so things are starting to calm down. But with new baby #3 arriving in a few months, followed a week or two later by DH's entire family arriving for a month long visit (not staying with us for more than a week fortunately), I fully expect the chaos level to go through the roof. Enjoying the calm before the storm in the meantime.....

8 or so. It's impossible to get anything done with two 2 year olds....cleaning is impossible, they both regularly puke in their car seats so errands/riding in the car can be a hassle, they're both generally underfoot while I'm trying to cook dinner, keeping them both in bed has become almost impossible most nights, there are still some wake ups in the middle of the night, and they no longer nap. We're both constantly exhausted and accomplishing anything is usually a struggle.

I voted 8. Busy season at work is fast approaching. We have a zillion house projects going on (none near completion!). The nursery is a disaster, I need to re decorate B's room, since it is still very babyish. DH works all the time so not much gets done. I've hired a handyman to paint our entire house and work on some odds and ends. I feel so unprepared for our new baby.

@oliviaoblivia: oh man, that stinks. Any family around to help, or did yours leave already?

3. Only cause we are so busy on the weekends. But come next month I imagine it will be mush higher when we start renovations and I need to plan and host a family bday party for LO at the house while renovations are going on.

@oliviaoblivia: we all got sick the week we brought the baby home too. It sucked so much- and I only have one older one. Luckily the baby never really got sick beyond typical newborn congestion, I think. And I almost murdered my husband because he is the one who brought the cold home. He had the nerve to suggest he take NyQuil when the baby was still regularly getting up and screaming for hours in the middle of the night. I hope everyone feels better soon.

Double ear infection for DD2, clean bill of health for the baby, and a recommendation that we see a child psychologist for DD1 who was majorly acting out and spit at the doctor.

I figure if we can survive this we'll be rockstars at three when they're finally healthy.

@oliviaoblivia: Aww poor DD1... It's a lot for everyone! Well, at least the baby's healthy?!

It's a 3 right now, but in a few months it will be a 7 or 8 as we prepare to move.

I gave life a 7, but that's mostly because I'm pregnant, work full time, LO has 3 molars coming in, and our dishwasher has been broken for 3 weeks - i am not good at hand washing dishes

Prepping for baby #2's arrival in the next 6 weeks...

DD is doing good and very stable...but still trying to get a house ready for #2 (which involved DD transitioning out of the nursery in the last 4 weeks) has been chaotic. Plus its my busiest time of year at work!

10. Baby #2 due in just over 5 weeks, due to move out of current flat in a couple of weeks, nowhere to move to. DH working crazy hours. Nothing is ready for the new baby. Looking after DS1 is actually by far the least stressful part of life at the minute!

@JoJoGirl: I could've written the exact same thing. We're in a pretty good routine with our 2 year old and our relationship. Some days are crazier than others, but in general it's pretty consistent. We are adding baby 2 later this summer and I feel like we're in the calm before the storm right now.

Once we know the gender we'll have to sort through all of DS's old stuff and figure out what stays and what goes, and we'll also need to buy more nursery furniture. And of course it'll be pure chaos when we have a newborn again .

I guess a 6 (because I'm currently at work and chaos free ). There are definitely moments of chaos when I'm home. We just got home from a 21 day trip with two people in the hospital so we are all getting over sickness. Luckily, I think we are almost all healthy. Anyway, house is a mess and you can only do so much between feedings when I get home. Plus being back a work makes me tired when I get home so I'm fighting between having enough energy to clean up the house and do things around the house.

I guess the babies are alive and well, so it's not complete chaos... we just have to live with our house being a mess until we eventually catch up.

ETA: I guess if I was home right now, I would feel like it's an 8.

I voted 10 because we are having work done to our house - new kitchen, knocking through into the utility room, a new window, new boiler and radiators, new roof on the kitchen extension, new consumer unit (electrics) and a downstairs toilet installed (digging out for the waste etc). Every room is destroyed. There is dust and rubble everywhere. My house looks like this:

3. We have it pretty easy since we only have one child and he is old enough to be pretty independent. We have a solid routine that we stick to and everyone is happy.

I voted 2. We've been blessed to be at a 1 for several months, but lately LO has had a few hiccups like waking up in the evening wanting to nurse, or refusing half her bottles at daycare in favor of more solid food. That's a little worrying but overall things are good.
