@DillonLion: good luck!!! I took my exams (different kind, but still crazy high stakes) in November, and before that, our life was CHAOS-a 10, for sure. Now, it's better, but I still feel it's taken me the last 2 months to recover. We're trying to get our grove back now.

@LovelyPlum: Thank you! What kind of exams did you take? I'm taking a composite science exam to certify me to teach grades 7-12. I have no science background, so it has been very challenging for me.

@DillonLion: PhD qualifying exams. I had to spend a year studying for them. It was so stressful. They don't let you take them until they're sure you're going to pass, but that meant I had to bust ass to prove that I was ready. Yuck.
DH is a social studies teacher 7-12, and he had to take something similar to yours. The science one would be tough, though, because it's basically 3 exams in one, yes? It's going to be such a relief to have it over with!

@LovelyPlum: Yeah, the bulk of it is physics, chemistry and biology, but there's also astronomy, earth science, etc. thrown in there.
DH has been a SAINT basically dealing with everything (kid, cooking, cleaning, etc.) so I can study. I owe him big time.
