6 and that's being very optimistic. Trying to see the positive.

7. It would be higher if I was getting a little more sleep. One day...

It definitely depends on how you define happy. I voted very high. Overall I'm in a wonderful place in my life. But this is actually my bad time of year for depression, so it seems kind of weird to vote high. But I don't consider unhappiness the same as depression.

I voted eight. I'm more than just content, but there are a few things that bring me down sometimes.

I voted 6, but I'd say it's trending up. I've had a lot going on lately, including back surgery scheduled for tomorrow, a medication change to get ahold of my panic attacks, and a new diagnosis/treatment plan for ADHD, all since the new year. It's been a lot to handle, but we are working on it.
I know that there is a lot of good going on in life right now-LO is fun, DH got a promotion/raise, money isn't quite as tight, and we have a new apartment that we love. Also, we are TTC later again this year. I just have to get healthy first!

I voted 8. But I think that I am a person who is generally pretty content. Some things in the past have made me unhappy, but right now the only big thing making me unhappy is that we have all been sick constantly since LO started daycare. But I see that as a passing struggle not like, a big life thing. So I didn't ding any points for that. I voted 8 because of 10 because I think in general I'd be happier if I could get on top of my health (weight) and of course... I'd love if we made a bit more money. But that's like-- ideal world stuff. I'm happy and content at 8.

I said 6, mostly because I'm extremely high sleep needs and I have a 3 month old . If you had asked a month ago I would have said 4 lol, so it is trending up....did I mention I'm tired?

I voted 7. My doctor and I seem to have my PPD/PPA under control, I love our new baby, DS and I feel bonded again, and I greatly appreciate all DH has done for me. However, I'm really tired and I have a 6 week old. I also miss work and DS is almost 2.5 and with that comes tantrums, whining, and attitude.

@LovelyPlum: thinking of you. I hope everything goes smoothly for you tomorrow.

8. Hopefully a few things get resolved this year. But life is pretty good.

8.5 but I voted 8. We have our health, the kids are healthy, DH is over all healthy. We have a home and jobs. Things can certainly better / easier and more financially sound. But I really can't complain.

@LovelyPlum: omgosh good luck! Message me where will you be? Do you need someone to watch LO?

I voted 8. This is the happiest I have been in a long, long time. Feeling good.

I voted 6. I'm seriously sleep deprived. A is almost 12 months old and has always slept terribly (3-5 wake ups a night). I night weaned him a little bit ago and that has changed nothing. If I could get some sleep I'd definitely be an 8 or 9.

I voted 7, but I generally feel pretty happy. I think I'm irritated by a few things today mostly to do with extended family, so that's why I knocked off 3 points.

Voted 8. We are all healthy and happy. DH's career is demanding, but we've adjusted. We just got back from our first family vaca with DS2 and are recharged to tackle life and enjoy the warmer months ahead. But, there's always not so good days and always room for growth in all areas!

8. Overall life is great right now! But I have s few frustrations I'm dealing with that keep me from voting higher.

I said 9. DH and I are celebrating our 5 year anniversary next weekend and we still love each other to bits, DS is 18 months old and such a joy, we are 30 weeks pregnant with another healthy boy, all of our job/business stuff is chugging along great, we paid off my law school loans in February, and right now we just have a good family life balance going on. Famous last words before a newborn hits the scene, but right now things are great and I feel super grateful.

A ten. I have two happy and healthy children and a husband who loves me. We both have good jobs and are in a comfortable place. I really don't want to take for granted how extremely fortunate we are to have those things. Could I use more sleep? For sure (I have a threenager and a newborn). But in the grand scheme of life that seems pretty minor.

@Portboston: i voted 6 because of lack of sleep. it's killing me.

Totally depends on the day. It varies from 4-8 if I'm being honest.

@Boogs: ok I think that's more accurate for me now that I think about it. I don't know how to numerically quantify my happiness! But it totally flows up and down (I guess that's obvious)

I voted 8 yesterday, but this morning is a solid 9 because today is the first time I get to spend a whole day with DD without anyone feeling sick (her preschool is closed). It's been wonderful so far! We just had a picnic with fruits and she's QUIETLY PLAYING ON HER OWN while Mommy has her coffee. Omg, please someone pinch me!
It would be a full on 10, if I just finished my thesis (not within my control at the moment). It's only 10am here, so this number can only go down as the day goes on

I voted 8. I think there are days I feel like a 3-4 probably, and some days a 9-10, so I think in general a 7-8 is probably right.
cantaloupe / 6206 posts
I voted 5, ha ha. Pregnancy hormones are making me ragey. All the time. And super stressed about money
hostess / wonderful persimmon / 25556 posts
I'm a 6 right now. Emotionally 3 year old and an out of work husband brings me down a bit. Maybe this summer, when M is 4, better things will come our way?
grapefruit / 4045 posts
9.
I might be happier if I didn't have to work. Or if my boss came in and said "4 months paid maternity leave!"
