A total downer here, but my holiday season has been a 1. My husband has been away for a week and will be gone for one more so I've been mopey and sad. BUT! On the bright side, I've been spending a LOT of time with LO with daycare being closed so it's not all bad!

3. We couldn't afford to buy any big presents, which made me feel bad. Plus there were no kids around, and my parents couldn't come to the USA this year. And DH got an ear infection...

My LO was born a few days after Thanksgiving so it was both the best and worst holiday season ever. I'm so happy she is here but birth/post partum was very scary and difficult.

9 - 9 1/2. LO was born on Christmas Eve and my mom was able to be done, so that was awesome. We even got to go home the day after Christmas. I am a little sore though, and LO isn't liking the BFing, so we're pumping and supplementing with formula. Altogether pretty awesome though!

An 8 maybe? Great because it was LO's first Christmas, but not so great because my in-laws annoy me, and my siblings didn't come into town for Christmas this year, and that made me sad.

It was a 5. I enjoyed it but I tried hard not to lose it thinking about what it was 'supposed' to be. DH did a good job keeping my spirits up.

Like a 0 My husband is deployed for the second Christmas (and Halloween, and Thanksgiving, and New Years, and Valentine's, and my birthday...) in a row. Since DS is too young (almost 9 months) to appreciate it yet it was just a total downer. I had to force myself to wrap even a few of his gifts knowing I would be the one unwrapping them on Christmas morning and my hubby wouldn't even be there to enjoy it with me...

a 3. we didn't do big gifts 'cause our budget wouldn't allow, DH worked christmas eve, christmas day, and will work new year's eve and new year's day. we weren't invited to christmas at my grandma's 'cause she hasn't spoken to me in 2 years as of christmas, we went to my uncle's for christmas eve & he fell and cracked his skull open on some stone steps. it was nice to spend time with my parents & brother though & i had a few days off.

A 9! First Christmas as a family of 4 was really nice.
I'm getting decent sleep, dd is adjusting well, family was really generous with gifts.

9 maybe? So much love and generosity all over the place around here. There is a lot of togetherness which is a double edged sword, but I love it anyhow. I also love that DH has been home more since he has the week off.

7. We didn't go home for the holidays, but it was nice enjoying quiet time with our small family. All of our presents arrived in time from family, and DH was off for the whole week! Unfortunately he wasn't feeling so great so he's been a bit moody.
