Do you like the idea of having multiple threads?
Like a thread where we discuss what day we are on our cycle (courtesy of @MrsMccarthy) and a thread about our favorite picture with DH (brought to you by @Mrs.Panda)
Or do you like the one big thread?

Sometimes I get a little lost in the POAS thread. I also feel like there are a lot more TTCers out there that don't play with us on that thread. I want to get to know them.
Maybe I will try to post a few separate threads and see what happens?

I think it would be easier to follow with separate threads, but if its the bulk of us participating, I think the conversation would end up being one giant thread anyways.
Our Jan thread moves so fast I can get a little lost, or replies are spaced a few pages from the questions, but I do like feeling like we are a big group of friends.

I know that I get a little lost on the big long threads and that makes me a little hesitant to post sometimes, but on the other hand, it's kind of nice to have it all in once place when I do want to go back and catch up. Not very helpful, I know.

I feel the same way, really. Haha. Maybe I will keep my random thoughts and responses on the POAS thread and if I have a question for the whole group- I will start a separate thread so that other people could join in too.

I prefer to keep the monthly POAS threads to just that and have some other threads as TWW downtime killers. It might also be nice to have additional separate weekly threads for TWW - for example if you POAS at the beginning or end of a month you get kind of lost in the pack with how the month thread is.

I think separate threads is better because I really do want to read people's responses but sometimes the page length is intimidating!
I don't know my cycles well enough to POAS or be in the TWW, maybe some of the early/first time TTC-ers can start a new thread too.

This might be biased, but part of me wouldn't mind two POAS threads - one for newbies (<6 months?), one for not-so-newbies (6+ months?) OR one for LO#1, one for LO#2+?

@LindsayInNY: Yeah this seems like a good idea. Sometimes it's hard to relate to others when you are in such separate stages of TTC.

@LindsayInNY: When all us TTCers used to be on WB, it was split like that - one for POAS (that included anyone who wanted to join, but was mostly newbies), and one for 6+ months. Some of the women from 6+ became close friends who know me better than anyone. Having a place to share your struggles can be a wonderful bonding experience.

@HolisticMama: That thread isn't really a POAS thread though. It's sort of a chat room/support board for people who have been TTC for more than 6 months. It doesn't track when people O or are in the TWW or anything.

@LindsayInNY: do it, do it! I'm not sure about when to split....I think people start to feel worried around 6 months, and 9 months is definitely another milestone for some reason.

@LindsayInNY: I really like this idea. It would be easier sometimes to relate or talk to people who had been struggling for longer.
Though I do like the idea of getting people to know all TTCers, sometimes the specialized board would be helpful.

@Happygal: Maybe I word the title thread so as to let people decide where they fit best? For example, at 6 months, I only had 4 cycles so I probably would've been fine in the "younger" group.

ha! thanks for the shout out! i kind of like the putting the CD in the POAS thread just because it helps keep it moving on the slow days and gives the obssesive types like me something to obsess about but i am open to and happy with all. I do think it's nice that there is a 6 month and up thread because i would personally start to find it frustrating being on the other thread and watching so many come and go without understanding how i felt but i also wouldnt be quite ready for the infertility thread yet at that point. it's a nice in between and it also helps because people who are freaking out about being on month 2 have a safe place to do so without offending people who are on month 6 or more.

It's weird... with my due date twins thread, I prefer everything in one big thread because we're like one big happy family. But I feel like with the TTC threads, it might be easier to break it up into multiple threads. Mainly because there are a LOT more TTCers (and NTNPers that participate) and since each month brings a whole new set of days to POAS and deal with the TWW, it's always hopping!

@LindsayInNY: that would be nice. I wouldn't want anyone to feel excluded. . . someone might be at only month 4 but have known fertility challenges and feel more at home with the "been there, done that" crew.

@MrsMccarthy: I agree. We need a place for *everyone* to feel safe whether they are a newbie or not. Sometimes, I feel I best keep my feelings to myself since I'm newer!

I don't think anyone here would judge you at all based on your feelings. Everyone can remember back to the beginning of cycles. Everyone is so supportive here (and honestly- the boards move so fast I can't even keep track of what cycle people are on. LOL). But I do understand your feelings.
And now we have our very own Newbie First Timers thread. LOL.
People can come there to ask what acronyms mean. Haha.

I agree with 2 POAS threads. I feel like 6 months is a good splitting point.
