Seeing all the recent bento boxes has gotten me feeling really guilty and a bit worried. A bit of background..LO is a pretty picky eater, was diagnosed with silent reflux and i'm a type a control neat freak. We started her on cereal and puree food at 5 mths, she didn't learn to use her pincer grip to feed herself till about 9.5 months. Being the neat freak that i am, i was never comforable with BLW and letting her self feed. Fast forward to today at 14.5 mths, LO is still spoonfed 3x/day with finely cut up food and refuses to eat any fruit/veggies that are cut up or in chunks/strips. She will put it in her mouth only to spit it out after. She will eat a cracker, chunks of cheese, cheerios, puffs or chunks of chicken and nothing else. When things are cut up into small bits and mixed together, she will eat it.
My question is...are there any other bees out there experiencing the same thing? Will she eventually learn to eat or should i 'starve' her by only offering finger foods at meal time so she'll have to eat if she's hungry. She's only 3rd percentile on the weight chart so i'm afraid of her losing more weight.
Thanks all in advance,
One guilty & worried momma
