My husband has vetoed a lot of my one syllable boy names suggestions. Our LO1 is named Hayes. I'd love another name like that - strong, short, and unique. We're thinking Edmond (family name) as a middle.
Some we've discussed include: Huck (too close to the F word for us), Clark, Finn, Kai, and Brooks.
In case it helps with style, my husband likes Sloane and Quinn for a girl. Any one syllable ideas for a boy?

Reese? It's on our short list, and DH really likes it because to him it seems really strong. Funnily enough, Quinn is also on our short list (for a boy), and Sloane would be if we were having a girl.

@Foodnerd81: I love Finn and so does DH, but his boss has a Finley and DH thinks it would be weird to use the same name.
I'm also not opposed to two-syllable names that are shortened into a strong nickname. DH likes Lincoln, and we could call him Linc or full name.

@AggieDaze: heh- Dh had a friend named Finn growing up so he wouldn't consider it if we had a boy- he liked the friend, and the name, but thought his brothers would make fun of him for naming a baby after a middle school friend??
I know two Lincolns, one goes by the full name, one by Linc, both are so sweet.

I also really love Lincoln/Linc, it's a name we considered before finding out LO was a girl.

Kai was the first I thought of. Besides others named maybe Lance? Brock? Dean? Jack?

My son is Blake. We also considered Luke, Sam, Max, and Scott.
I really like previous suggestions of Reid, Clarke, and Locke with your son's name. I'd also throw in Smith and Ford as options. Or what about Seth?

@coopsmama: nice one. Miles is at the top of the list for us along with Lincoln (Linc). I'm not sure if it sounds too similar to Hayes with the "s" ending, but my DH says I'm overthinking it.
