If you ordered your holiday cards online (think Tiny Prints, Minted, Zazzle, etc.), how long did it take you to get the cards? Did you pay extra for rush or for them to mail it for you?
Our holiday pics aren't until this Saturday and now I'm stressing I won't have enough time. Wondering if I should just use a different picture from this year...

I just ordered mine today so can't say for sure this year, but last year I ordered M's birth announcements from Shutterfly around the 15th and was able to send the cards out a few days before Christmas without doing any rush delivery - so I think you should be good!

i ordered mine two nights ago and surprisingly, the standard shipping option gave me an arrival date very close to the 25th and i need my cards before the 13th. I had to upgrade the shipping to get it by the 10th. I'll repost when i get my shipping confirm to let you know when it's arriving.

We ordered ours Sunday night and I'm expecting them on the 11th with free standard shipping from tinyprints...I opted for the "designer review" which adds 2 days

I ordered mine from Zazzle on Nov 25th and the order shipped out on the 26th. I'm still waiting for it, though.

You can order from shutterfly and snapfish and pick up at the drugstore in one hour! Or you can buy a template on etsy, insert the pic, and print 1 hr photo wherever you wish!

I ordered from TinyPrints on Sunday and with free shipping it said the arrival date would be 12/12-12/13. I paid the exra $1 for designer review, which they said takes an extra day or two - so it might have been a few days sooner otherwise.

Uhhh, so I was really late last year and I sent my holiday cards out a the day before Christmas. Hehe. It's okay, I got some cards from family and friends after Christmas and I didn't mind that they were late.
I'm a bit of a cheapo and don't like spending extra for expedited shipping. It's just so expensive to rush things.

I ordered mine from Shutterfly on Nov 24th and I'm still waiting on them! 
I'm actually really unhappy with them right now. The tracking info says they were delivered but they still aren't here so I suspect they are lost. But Shutterfly won't help me until their estimated delivery window has past! Argh!

@sunny: Oh, no! I ordered mine from Shutterfly on Nov 26th and I got it on Monday Dec 2nd. Although, I just looked at the tracking and it appears it originated in the town right next to where I live. Who knew they made them here!
I heard stories about people stealing packages at christmas time, so I'm worried it got lost or stolen. I hope Shutterfly resends it if it's lost or stolen.
Although, I don't know why anyone would steal a Shutterfly box. It's a bright orange box! They know it's photos or photo books so not going to get much there.
I hope it shows up soon!

I'm going through the same thing!! We had our pictures last Saturday and won't get them back through dropbox until 12/9, so I will need to pick out a card and get it ordered ASAP. I might even do more of a "holiday/new years" card so that it won't be weird if it shows up after Christmas. I really don't want to pay for rush shipping

I ordered thru Vistaprint - normal delivery which is usually super slow but ended up getting them in less than a week!! Got them yesterday!

I was going to order through vistaprint, but they were quoting that they wouldn't be in until the 22nd or something, and I still had to write them out. I forgot that they usually are WAY quicker with shipping than they quote like @Mamaof2: said. But, they still wanted $7 for standard shipping.
I wound up ordering from Wal-mart instead. Placed the order on Monday and shipping was free and should arrive around the 10th. This gives me PLENTY of time to write them out and then get them sent.

@shopaholic: I think it might have been shipped to the wrong place. Tracking last night had it leaving MD and going south to NC instead of north to me in PA. I'm going to see what it says this morning before contacting them.
ETA: So it could have been a USPS thing and not a Zazzle one.

We just bought ours on Snapfish. Placed the order on Friday, shipped Saturday, received yesterday. Would have gotten them Tuesday but for some reason FedEx transferred them to the PO, so it took an extra day.

I miss mypublisher's holiday cards. Unfortunately Shutterfly bought them and they no longer offer cards. They had excellent customer service, and my cards always arrived within a few days from ordering. Such high quality too! Sigh. This year I'll most likely use shutterfly and hope they arrive in time. I don't mind if people receive them after Christmas.

@shopaholic: I just ordered mine like an hour ago and paid the equivalent of a years college tuition to have them rushed and arrive by Thursday. Ugh. Next year I will plan ahead a little better.
You can include "& a happy new year!" on your cards and as long as people get them by December 31 I think you're good!

I ordered from Shutterfly with regular shipping & got them 5 days later. I'm not terribly impressed with the quality, but they're alright. I would be more concerned about getting your pictures back in time! The normal turn around time for a photographer is AT LEAST a week, but usually 2-3 weeks.

@shopaholic: I placed our order on Sunday night after getting back from Big Bear using the Zazzle Groupon... my order status still says "Processing," even though there's a complete Processed date and time, and a Shipment ID (but not a shipping service). The design I chose says, "Ships tomorrow!" on it, too, so I don't know...

@shopaholic: I just ordered our cards from vistaprint! Ordered them late Saturday night, shipped today, will arrive on Friday. I upgraded to priority for just under $20. Though I justified it happily to have them in plenty of time to send before we go out of town because I also had a groupon and paid $41 (groupon plus amount at ordering) or a full order of 40 double sided cards, extra envelopes, address labels, and a couple sheets of custom gift tags!
Really though I've used Vistaprint tons of times, over several years now and have always been happy.

@HabesBabe: Yes! After I posted that comment I emailed their CS--and never got a response. But the next day the tracking showed them in Philly, which is like 2 hours from me, and they were delivered last Friday? So I don't know if the tracking was just wrong or for some reason they sent the order south and then rerouted it? But we got them!

Thanks everyone!!! I just got our pics last night and going to order today. It's been hard since K wants to steal the laptop every time I'm on it, I think I'll order both vista print and zazzle ones since I have groupons. I'll probably pay for expedited shipping just to be safe!

@shopaholic: Tiny Prints. I have never payed for expedited shipping, and they always arrive within a few days. {I think it's because they usually ship from Arizona and I'm in SoCal.}
